Chapter 114: The kindness

As the night progressed, the temperature outside dropped several degrees. Christopher was shaking. He could hear his teeth colliding with each other. He could have hopped into the car, but instead, he kept standing there, afraid Abigail would not open the door.

Christopher was worried that she would think he only cared about his comfort and couldn't endure a little chill. Furthermore, he wanted to tell her how desperate he was to take her along with him.

He blew air into his palms and rubbed them together. He continued doing this.

Inside the house…

Rachel couldn't stay calm. She was sorry to see Christopher outside in the cold. On the other hand, Abigail was not opening the door.

She knocked on the door for the third time and said, "Abi, my darling. He is still outside. Go and bring him in. He will get sick."
