Chapter 143: Battle to the Death

Su Ying recalled that when the pit had collapsed, she had seen many broken tree roots in the pit. The pit didn't look too deep, but if the bottom had been dug out long ago and the bottom they had seen was just a fake bottom made up of tree roots, it would explain why the pit had suddenly collapsed to such a deep level.

Su Ying and Xiao Jin went around the slope and saw Aunt Zhao and the others hard at work searching for something.

"Mistress, Mistress, where are you?" Aunt Zhao and the others had been shouting until their voices were hoarse beyond recognition. Their gaits were also so unsteady that they almost couldn't stand on their feet, but they still had no intention of stopping.

"Mistress, Mistress…" 

"Bai Shuang! Aunt Zhao!"

Su Ying ran over and answered loudly.

Bai Shuang and Aunt Zhao froze as if someone pressed the pause button. Then, they turned around and when they saw Su Ying, they thought that they were hallucinating!
