Earlier on, Cheng Ming and the others were exploring the wasteland. They accidentally dug into the snake's nest and startled the venomous snakes in the burrow, which was why Cheng Ming got bitten. Su Ying squatted down to check the snake's nest.

"You guys go and gather some firewood. Pile it up at the entrance of the burrow and light it up. It's almost winter, and the snakes are going to look for a place to hibernate. If you don't force them to move their burrows, it will be dangerous for you guys to work in the fields when they wake up in spring." 

Li Laosan felt that Su Ying's words made sense, so he went to gather some dry wood and lit it with a portable sparks container.

Soon, a cloud of white smoke entered the snake's burrow.

Su Ying straightened her body and looked around. True enough, white smoke was rising from the ground not far away.

Su Ying picked up a tree branch and walked over. She saw a king cobra slithering out of the hole.
