Chapter 73: Mother’s fight.
(Kiera's mother's POV/ Annalise's POV)
The knight charged at me with his sword in front of him. He was rather slow so I swished my tail around and hit his legs causing him to go flying of to the side and colliding with the trees.
"Gah! Damn you overgrown lizard!" He shouted at me.
"An overgrown lizard am I? A bit insulting to say the least." I replied as I looked over.
The knight got up and formed spears of rocks from earth magic and enhanced his swords strength with magic as well. He fired of his spears at the side of my torso so I let it hit me. My first evolution, just like my daughter Kiera, was that of an elemental dragon which made me resistant to all four main elements being wind, fire, water and earth magic.
His magic did absolutely nothing.
"Tough bastard." He grumbled as he leaped into the air and swung his sword down onto my head. I held up my arm and used my claw to intercept his sword. My claws were sharper than steel so I had no problem defending against this human. It was mere child's play for me.
"Have the royal knights strength deteriorated to such stupid levels?" I asked, further angering the knight.
"Shut it. I don't want to hear it from a damn dragon!" He shouted at me as he jumped away and skidded to a stop. "Are you just going to defend? I said fight me!"
I did exactly as he asked and made flames well up in my throat and smoke to exit my nostrils. I opened my mouth and inside it was glowing orange and red.
The knight knelt down and placed his hand on the ground to erect a wall of stone as I breathed out flames that engulfed the area in my line of sight. I purposely made this weaker so he wouldn't have died. I hope.
"You can't say I'm weak, look at your fire breath! It didn't even hit me!" He boasted confidently as if he had just won the most ancient of artifacts in an auction.
He pounced at me after crumbling the wall in front of him and swung his blade at my leg. I swiped my leg to the side which he defended against by using his sword but still got pushed back and eventually went tumbling backwards.
Without losing confidence he pounced at me again so I formed multiple swords of steel in the air around me. Roughly 60 or so.
"What in the hell! How did you form so many metal swords in an instant!" He shouted as he stopped his charge and looked at the sight before him.
"It's an element that branches of from earth magic deary." I replied as I held up my arm and moved my claw downward signalling for the swords to come plummeting towards the ground. All of which targeted at the one arrogant knight in front of me.
He held up his sword and parried away, well tried to parry away, all the swords that came close. He tried making an earth shield but it got penetrated by my swords which resulted in a sword lodging itself in his wrist making him let out a scream as if he was a girl.
He tried to dodge them while fending of some with his sword but was too slow resulting in multiple deep gashes forming all over his body since the swords had cut through his armour.
I had made it so the steel swords I had made were hot and would melt his armour while enhancing my swords so they themselves wouldn't melt as well.
"Ack! Stop sending swords at me damn it!" He shouted as he got cut by another sword yet again.
"Alright." I said and with a small movement of my claw all the swords I had made disappeared leaving a blood covered knight to stand with multiple cuts by himself.
He looked up at me with anger in his eyes.
"I'll kill you." He growled as he held out his arm and a magic circle started forming at his palm as he begun to chant in the ancient language.
'I see. He is summoning a familiar or servant form another dimension. Interesting.' I thought to myself. 'I wonder who he has contracted.'
The magic circle in his palm went from a light grey to a bright red as it moved away from his palm and planted itself on the floor.
"Come out! My servant!" He shouted as the magic circle glowed brighter as if acknowledging his request.
A literal angel came out from his magic summoning circle.
"An angel? Why would one show to a human?" I said.
"Haha with my angels help you will die and I will use your heart to gain strength!" He declared as he pointed at me, "kill her." He spoke with a fierce glare and blood trickling down his forehead.
The angel looked at me and took a glance at Kiera before going wide eyed and looking away and back at his contractor.
'What's up with that reaction?' I thought as I also took a glance at Kiera who was patting Violet on the head and letting Leo rest his head on her lap.
"Summoner. You have not contracted with you and as of now you are not deemed worthy of my help." The angel spoke lightly.
The angel had short white hair and pale white skin, like paper white, and white eyes. Wings as well. He was completely white and had no colour to him. He had two wings positioned on his back just like our humanoid forms.
"What why? I summoned you here?!" He looked dumbfounded at his summon.
"A higher being in the heavens has told us to not harm certain beings. In addition to this, your behaviour and soul are all dark and you are unworthy. I shall take my leave."
"What in the hell! You know what.. if I'm so dark I'll summon a demon. A demonic being." He said as he made another magic circle but this one was green.
Just like the other it placed itself on the floor and glowed brightly.
"Who has summoned me?" A voice spoke out.
A tall lady that had a dark red skin colour and black horns upon her head with long black hair that reached her waist. She had the legs of a goat that had red fur and hooves with a long red spear looking tail.
"Help me kill a dragon." The knight said.
"Hoh? A dragon huh? You mean this one right behind me?" She said as she turned around.
She looked my up and down and moved her head away she caught a glimpse of Kiera and went slightly wide eyed like the angel did.
"What will you offer me in return?" She asked.
"My mana. You can do whatever spell you need to with my mana." He replied as if that would be enough.
"Hahaha you foolish human being! Mana is not enough to satisfy my needs." She said as she licked her lips.
"What are you looking for then?" He asked.
"Your soul. Now that I think of it your soul doesn't look very appetising, someone else's here has a very.. nice.. soul." She said as she glanced at Kiera and turned away.
"I'll give you whoever's soul you want then." He said.
"No need. I am returning now. Have fun with your little spar and what not." She said as she returned from which she came from.
"What the hell! Why will they not help me! Utterly useless.
"Are we done or what?" I asked.
"Oi, you who is with the kids, kill them." He said with a chuckle, "it'll anger the mother and we will get four more dragon hearts as well as the mother dragons. We will all fight her to the death."
"No." Kiera said in a calm tone and straight face.
'Still as emotionless as ever.' I thought.
"Why not? You are meant to follow my orders!" He shouted.
"I agree with the girl. How could you stoop so low to kill someone's kids even if they are a different race. We are royal knights. At least hold some honour for the royals, yourself and other knights." The other knight spoke.
"Screw you all." The knight said as he turned to face away from the group. "If you won't help I'll go solo. I'll do my own thing and make the most of this trip. Good luck without me."
The knight then ran off with a bad mood.
"I apologise, dragon mother and children. I hope you don't hold this against us." The knight said as he bowed.
"It's fine" I replied. "Children come here. We are leaving now."
They came over to me reluctantly as they wanted to spend more time with Kiera and we left the group that Kiera was with.
'Have fun Kiera. Come home and say hi whenever you want. Sorry for the trouble though it was somewhat refreshing. Love you sweetie.' I said through telepathy.
'Thank you mother.' Came the reply as I few off back to the mountains.
