Chapter 46: Gathered people.
Scarlet dashed at me bringing her sword to my side in one swift movement and I spun my sword to my side to block hers. The lightning surrounding my blade along with the flames that engulfed the sword crackled and flickered in sync with each other.
I kicked my leg out towards Scarlet but she quickly dodged and came back to my side moments later to continue our fierce spar.
"Your not slowing down.. how long can you hold out I wonder?"
"Against you and at this pace probably 6 hours at minimum." I said.
"6 hours?"
"Yes."
"Guess I'll be more violent." Scarlet said as a massive fire ball was formed over her head and she jumped back leaving my sword lonely and a fireball tumbling down at me.
It was massive, bigger than my dragon form.
"Can you go against this?"
"Not sure." I replied as I straightened myself up and prepared myself for the attack.
There was no way to dodge this so I stood there.
'I'll try coating my sword with stronger flames than that fire ball and strike through it. If that does not work then I'll just make a barrier around myself. It shouldn't be able to burn my skin anyway.' I thought as I increase the power of my flames and lightning.
The fire ball came down at me with hast and I slashed down with my sword vertically. My sword slashed through it and it dispersed in the air.
'Thought it would be harder than that.'
Scarlet was behind me and kicked the back of me knee. I failed to dodge in time so I was sent tumbling forwards to which I rolled and jumped back up. Holding my sword in my right hand, I held out my left and sparks of lightning gathered in my palm. I sent the lightning upwards to strike down on Scarlet.
The lightning gathered and shot down on her head and left her hair static with sparks coming off. Her hair and clothing were burnt on the edges. She stumbled a little as it struck so I could assume that hurt. Maybe not a lot but still did something.
"Tickles." She said as she moved her hand through her hair.
I created arrows from fire and spears of lightning, about 15 of each, and sent them at Scarlet. In the process of doing so, I leaped forward and dragged my sword across her chest which was quickly blocked by her own.
Before my magic hit I jumped back and let them hit. A cloud of dust formed where Scarlet was previously standing and where the magical spears and arrows hit.
Once the cloud disappeared I saw Scarlet standing there with multiple cuts across her body signalling that I hit her. Blood dripped from each of the cuts and left drops splattered on the floor by her feet.
"Ouch, that one hurt. Haha." Scarlet chuckled as she looked up and stared into my eyes, "My turn."
She created 40+ swords of fire and made them noticeably sharp despite being made of flames. She rushed me and thrust forth to which I promptly parried to the side. The swords then rained down upon me so I tried countering most of them with swords of my own but many made their way past to which I dodged or they managed to narrowly hit my body leaving small but sometimes long cuts along my skin after piercing through my clothing.
After the attack had finished I jumped out from the dust cloud and began my attack on Scarlet.
We exchanged blows through both magic and our swords leaving us both with multiple cuts and sweat running down our bodies. We had been at it for around three hours.
"Hah.. hah.. phew, I've got a more accurate knowledge on your strength now. We can stop our attacks now." Scarlet said as she sat herself on one of the benches in the sidelines.
"Alright." I said as I caught my breath quickly. Much quicker than Scarlet.
I transformed Adonis back to normal and grabbed my water bottle which I threw to the side before starting the spar. I looked out the window and saw multiple people peeking in through the windows.
"Why are there so many people, should they not be in class?" I asked.
I noticed them gather at around 20 minutes into our spar and they slowly gathered more and more. I took my focus away from them as I was fighting but I still knew of their presence. I thought it would be alright to let them watch as I didn't care if they knew I was much stronger than they thought but I wasn't going to reveal everything.
"They should but I guess they all came by at lesson change over. *sigh* doesn't matter." Scarlet said as she got to her feet and sheathed her sword.
"Kiera I've been thinking."
"Everyone thinks but I know what you mean so just continue."
"Would you like to participate in the normal classes? Mine aren't to do with anything other than physical and some magic. I feel it would be best to do mine along with the regular ones the others attend to." Scarlet said with a smile.
"I guess I could." I replied, "I'll do that then. I'll need a timetable with all the lessons on though."
"I'll get that sorted. Well we will end here today and tomorrow I'll hand you a timetable and we will be doing lessons that suit you more. I need to adjust them all by a significant margin."
"Bye then." I said as I left through the double doors which had many people standing behind that swiftly moved out of the way to let me pass.
"Well done Kiera, you fought very well."
I didn't reply and just left. Many who gathered stared at me with envy or respect. Some were very jealous of me either because of my looks, strength or the fact I have a private tutor. Some admired me and wished to be friends but were too nervous to ask. Everyone around me were easy to read. I could tell their thoughts with a quick glance.
I made my way back to the dorms and entered with the person behind the desk giving me a big smile and a 'hello' I replied with the same but without the smile.
I walked to my room which was, of course, empty. No one was there but me which I didn't mind, I never did. I made some food and put it in my [Spacial storage] and I noticed before that whatever I put in comes out in the same state it was previously so I knew no time, or very little and insignificant amount of time, passed in the storage. This realisation resulted in me placing a bunch of varying pre-cooked meals inside so I could simply take them out when Catherine or Tess were hungry since I was the appointed chef. I would only cook main meals like dinner or breakfast and lunch but if they wanted a snack they did it themselves.
After I finished my cooking I went to my bed and opened the wardrobe beside it. I took out fresh clothes and put the dirty ones in the wash. I changed into some black cargo trousers and loose black top.
I then decided I'd train with my Scythe to try get it to 100% before trying another weapon. Scythes weren't commonly used as they were seen as 'farmers tools' which they were but they also have battle versions which can hold great power behind. Although I liked them I wanted to try others but so far I would be sticking with the sword.
