Chapter 16: 16: Shining Bright
During my life in the old world I was what you would call a hopeless person, someone with no meaning to life.
My parents disowned me when I was 18 years old, or what I should call my adoptive parents. They brought me in to fill the void of their blood child who had died in a car crash when he was 2.
So at the same age they brought me in to give them meaning to life, at first things where good but after a few years things turned bad. The words they threw at me, the feeling they showed me, the anger they poured on me.
It hurt my self esteem to an all time low, to the point I couldn't communicate with other people without seeing their face. 10 years, it was sad, but as soon as middle school hit I wanted to change. The first person I saw at school I would walk over and talk to them.
That got me jumped an bullied for the whole of high school, then with my mental health mixed with the bullying made my relationship with my parents broke beyond repair.
So right now seeing Rou standing in my place, fighting with his life to protect me, it made me reminisce.
"Come on ugly, lets go for a dance."
Rou was different right now, he wasn't only just snatch empowered but also with a mix of something.
The behemoth hurdled towards Rou who just stood there, then stopping the behemoth swinged with all his might decapitating Rou from his legs up.
"NOOOOOO!!" I tried to get up but I just couldn't stand, I couldn't gather the will to stand and fight for him just like he's doing for me.
But what happened next not even I could fathom, he was coming back, steam was coming out his body as his tissues and muscles started coming back.
He did it, I wasn't sure if it was even possible since ban had unlocked his immortality through a drink but he managed to do it.

As he is now he's stronger than I ever was. After fully healing he took off towards the behemoth, landing a drop kick that sent the thing flying.
Not giving it a time to rest he launched combos of punches and kicks all connecting perfectly.
The more he fought the more powerful he became and the weaker the behemoth was. Together with his immortality he seemed like he couldn't lose.
But then I remembered what he was doing, he was using snatch to draw power from the monster. Ban did something similar against the 10 commandments, even though he was winning he eventually got slumped because of the amount of stamina it took.
"Rou, finish it now!" "No need to tell me princess!"
But he was getting careless and the monster snuck in a hit punching straight through him, but Rou smirked drawing even more power from it before ripping of its arm.
It screamed out in pain before Rou jumped at him smacking him with his own arm. But suddenly Rou screamed out coughing up blood.
"Damn it!" I was still injured, my healing factor started kicking in but it was still slow.
But my mana health was good enough for me to transform.
"Come on body, move, move, move. Don't just sit here watching someone defend you, stand up, move your body you weak piece of shit!"
Then like a spark his eyes lit up with the power of a thousand suns, he became encompassed in flames as he transformed into his flame god mode.
"You finally stood up did you princess."
Then rushing in like a bullet Az sliced off his left leg before kicking him to ground. "Tag out princess let your king save." Then then gathering flames he created 12 wolf like flaming creatures giving them to the behemoth who gracefully accepted taking all 12 to the body.
But he was thrown off at the sight of Rou coughing out more blood. "You can sit out now champ, I'll handle the rest." "And do what become your burden again, nah no more. Not after my whole speech."
I really have made a friend for life, mesmerizing to think I would be friends with a character like him, if I would have had to pick a close friend before I met Rou I would've said Ban. But now that I've met him, I don't think I ever want to change.
"ARRRGGHHHHHHH" But we still had to beat this thing. Then zooming over with our powers we double teamed him, we had learnt how to fight in unison during out time coming to Danafor against demons, but now it's being put to use.
He led the battle with quick combos not giving the monster time to think, then flying from behind with my massive flaming sword I diced him up in 5 massive pieces before Rou used is monster hunt making the pieces even smaller. But its heart still remained, spawning a whole new behemoth.
"To beat it we have to slice that heart, I know where both running low on energy so we have to put everything behind this." Rou gave me a nod before side by side we charged out final attack.
"100 WOLVES OF HELL, ULTRA MONSTER HUNT!!" Unleashing the power we annihilated the monster before it had time to swing at us. We gained victory over an unbeatable monster.
We where both huffing and puffing before taking our spot on the ground.
"Thank you Rou. Without you I would have definitely died."
"Hah I know, you owe me your life princess. But still what the hell even was that, how did we get here, you got hella explaining to do."
