Chapter 32: Chapter 32: Love, Blood, and Fangs

Marcus Cutler POV:

I got Julia and Rob caught up on what the Red Chapter kill team was up to, and I gave them what information I had on them. This included letting them know the kill team knew how to get into Julia’s house, and where the kill team had sat up base.

Rob then relayed that to the Inquisition team in town with him.

Julia told us that she was going to make preparations and excused herself to begin making them. But I got the impression that she was leaving to give Rob and I a chance to catch up on our own.

The two of us were at the Hunting Ground now, shooting pool at one of the tables.

“So, how have things been back … home?” I asked, trying to sound casual. I took aim at the 7 ball and put it in a corner pocket.

“I can’t really complain,” Rob replied. “Home has always been peaceful. The different peoples there know how to get along. Especially when there aren’t any Inquisitors going out of their way to cause trouble.”
