Chapter 15: Chapter 15: What's Really Going On?

Felicity's father, Chief Turner, had been released from the hospital earlier in the week. Felicity couldn't be happier because she felt more of a sense of safety knowing her father was around. Though the doctor had told him to ease back into his job, he wasn't one to take orders.

He never knocked when he walked into Felicity's office so when he knocked and waited for an invitation to enter, she was caught off guard.

"Dad. Are you okay?" she asked as she pretended to check his forehead for a fever.

"I'm fine. I just wanted to be more respectful to you and your job title around here. Just walking in sends the wrong message to the crew."

"Okay. Just checking and thank you for that. How are you feeling?"

"Like I gained ten years back. I haven't felt this good in a long time."

"I'm glad to hear that. What brings you into my humble station today?"

He chuckled.
