Chapter 5: Time Skip

"Ohhh, how I have dreamt of this day. How I have stayed awake in my cell dreaming of this day when I will have you under my heel!" Metallo, a cyborg powered by green Kryptonite on his chest said as he pushed his metallic foot harder onto a weakened Superman's head, making the ground crack and spider web cracks to spread from the force.

"I am going to enjoooo..." Metallo was cut short by a man glowing green, making the two crash away from Superman who took a breath of relief. He slowly got up just as his sidekick, Sentry, landed beside him.

"You look like you just lifted a planet, old man. Is your back gonna be okay?" she asked with a small mischievous smile on her face.

"This is nothing, I can keep going," Superman said with a slightly tired face.

It has been six months since they started working together as mentor and sidekick and Superman had come to warm up to her to the point of telling her his secret identity. She hesitated for a while but she did too and the relationship turned into kind of a father daughter kind.

Superman had come to know that she had all the powers of a Kryptonian with none of the drawbacks, which had garnered a wave of jealousy from him. She was basically an undefeatable version of him and to add insult to injury, she had even more unfair powers mixed in. She had biokinesis which she would use to descretly heal people, molecular manipulation, which she used to disable most guns wielded by bad guys. Though he had seen her make entire constructs out of thin air which made him realize what kind of unfair advantage she had over her enemies. She could control darkness and light, the latter been used as laser beams, sending jets of unfiltered yellow star radiation right into his body, empowering him if he was slightly repowered during long fights. Due to this, he was able to fight Doomsday for two days straight after a shot of this, making him realize just how godsent she truly was. He knew she had other powers but she was not ready to tell him and he would not press.

Other than that, he had come to know that she might be far, far, far, far stronger than he was and still growing stronger, just like him. When he asked her, she told him she drew energy from everywhere, the sun, kinetic energy and even the microverse, a whole realm with untapped energy! Due to this, he had become quite loose when they were in fights because he knows that if he himself was holding back not to kill everyone he fought, she was holding back not to destroy the planet.

Now, they were fighting Metallo and Kryptonite Man, two Kryptonite bases villains who, like many before them, thought that there were two Kryptonians guarding Metropolis. Sentry had a sadistic side on her in which he led the villains think she was actually weak to Kryptonites and this lowering their guard before knocking them out in a 'burst of inner strength'. Case in point, Kryptonite Man.

The man could produce energy of K-radiation, a radiation formed by Kryptonite. His strength was increased while his durability increased to ridiculous levels. He had fought the villain before and it took him all he got to finally defeat him. Yet, a few tricks there and now Metallo was throwing his unconscious body off of him.

"The sidekick!" Metallo growled as he got up. His left had transformed into a Kryptonite shooting rifle which he aimed at her. "I have heard of you, girl, and I am not impressed!"

"Neither am I. You look like a Terminator rip off, only you are low budget," she fired her insult, making Metallo grow angrier.

"Insolent broad!" he hissed before firing his gun. Superman could see how she walked away from the oncoming bullet of Kryptonite and threw a sedan at him. To Metallo, she just disappeared in front of him just as he fired and a car hit him it of nowhere.

"You do realize Kryptonians are faster than bullets, right?" she mocked him. Superman wanted to tell him that Metallo fired his bullet with six times more velocity than any high calibre gun but he knew her answer would just be a shrug. Metallo threw the season off of him only for a pick up truck to slam into him. Pissed off, he fired a beam of Kryptonite radiation, cutting the truck part only for a semi to slam into him. Before he could try to get it off of him, a container slammed into him before she melted it and semi, finally trapping him to the ground with an artic breath.

"That was easy!" she said as she landed beside Superman who breathing harder.

"Pride comes before fall, Sentry, I hope you realize that," he said with a sigh.

"I know, I know. But I am feeling extra playful today, I get to meet your workmates and some of their sidekicks," she said excitedly.

For six months, she had not met any of the League members for Superman told her that she was protecting her. Once she was introduced to them, then her karmic journey with them would begin. With her power, it would be soon that one of their nemesis would focus on her and try to manipulate her into doing something they want. Basically, he called her naïve. She wasn't mad, with a mentor like Superman, she had become slightly naive to the whole world. That's why she had decided not to accept the League's offer of becoming 'one of them' this day and decided that when she felt she was ready, she would make her way into their League herself.

"As soon as these two are secured and on their way to Black Gate then we can leave," Superman told her as he caught his breath. The K-radiation in the air had lessened which relieved Superman somewhat. Ten minutes later, a Black Gate prisoner containment truck arrived and the two were snugly secured after which, the two of them flew towards DC where the Hall of Justice was located.

Superman refused and advance of a race, flat out ignoring her quibs, making her become bored the entire flight till they landed next to the superheroes gathered in front of the hall.

"You're late," Batman growled at them.

"Had to take care of Metallo and Kryptonite Man, sorry for keeping you'll waiting," Superman apologized as Batman sized up Sentry.

"Oh, I'm just here to enjoy the scenery," she told him. Batman just grunted then led the way towards the hall.

"Hi, my name is Kid Flash, you can call me Wally West," Kid Flash said flirtatiously as he sped to her left.

"Sentry," she introduced herself curtly.

"Cool. So, are you Superman's cousin? Son? Niece?"

"None of the above,"

"Oh, I that your S meant you were related to him,"

"My S is for Sentry. I just had it made like that because he was my idol," she answered, patiently. She could smell the hormones inside this one and it did not make her feel great that she was repulsed by it. She had been struggling with her sexuality for a while now and this kid was just making it worse.

"Robin, Batman's protege," Robin introduced himself, making her glad of his interruption.

"Aqualad," the Atlantean went next and when she looked at the archer, he just ignored her. "That's Speedy."

"Speedy? Does he have super speed?" she asked.

"I shoot arrows, got a problem with that?" Speedy asked grumpily.

"That's a lame ability to have," Sentry decided to bring her bitchy side out seeing Speedy was being a dick. "I mean, if an extraterrestrial army invades Earth and your arrows run out, what then?"

"My hands alone are enough," Speedy edgily said. Sentry just scoffed before taking all his arrows and binding him with his bow string in half a second, took out his boots and socks, used it to gag him. Then, she bound his feet using the other sock. Before anyone knew, Speedy had been disarmed, bound, gagged in a flash. He fell to the ground, a shocked look on his face, causing everyone to turn and look at them. Superman immediately slapped his forehead when he saw this scene.

"Sorry, I just couldn't telorate his bitchiness," she curtly explained as Batman and Green Arrow glared at her. "Geez, tough cloud."

"The rest of the journey is only reserved for Justice League members or initiates," Batman flatly said, basically just telling her to fuck off.

"Okay, fine, geez," she said before turning around and blasting off to the sky.

"She can be a handful sometimes," Superman apologized to Green Arrow who went to unbound his sidekick.

"Any news of her background exactly. You say she has all the characteristics of a Kryptonian but none of the weaknesses, is that true?" Aquaman asked.

"Yes. I have tried to collect any DNA material but in all her fights, she has not once bled or been in any position to lose any sample thus cannot confirm she is a Kryptonian," Superman said.

"Hnn!" Batman thoughtfully grunted.

"Hnn!" Robin behind him mimicked.
