"How did you lose it?"

Cassandra Gabler was enthralled by the story, and her heart tightened. 

She gripped Luke Yates's large hand tightly with her small one, her eyes reflecting her heartache.

Luke was stunned.

Why was she suddenly feeling sorry for the sheep?

That wasn't the point.

Luke could only grit his teeth and continue, "It seems like it was stolen…"

"Why don't you go and look for it?"
