Chapter 146: The station (5)

"There are other people here!"

Looking at the first half of the note, Airon thought to himself that the name Enid was very familiar, but when he saw the second half, he immediately frowned, turned around and walked out of the alcove of the room.

He looked at these corpses and found that they did not have pleasant features, so he raised his head and shouted up the stairs, "Jon!"

"What?"

After a while, only a reply was heard from the right side of his place. After a while, Daryl and Jon approached. They looked towards Airon and then Jon asked, "Airon, what's wrong?"

"Apparently there were people who didn't belong to the group that attacked us just now, you need to search cautiously and pay attention to corpses that have newer clothes than normal. they should have died recently!"

Hearing Airon's explanation, Daryl's eyes looked quizzical, but he still nodded and together with Jon set off in different directions.

Tucking the note into his pocket, Airon lifted the open backpack, looked at the contents and discovered that there was only a sketchbook, a box of pens and some drawing related things.

He reached out and pulled out the sketchbook, on which was written a name called Enid, who seemed to be the owner of the book, gently opened the somewhat old cover and what caught his eye was a sketch of a portrait of a family.

The family of three held their young daughter in the middle of both of them, the girl was wearing a bright smile but the blood marks on the picture gave Airon a very different feeling. At the bottom right was a name - for me dear daughter: Enid, photo taken in your first year filled out at school.

Seeing this name again, Airon raised his eyebrows slightly and continued to flip through the sketchbook, finding that there were some narrations about this family's experience in the early days of the end of the world.

This family seemed to have survived alone, they did not attend any shelter nor did they gather with other people. But from what he saw, he knew that this family was separated for unknown reasons.

He looked silently at the sketchbook, closed the backpack again and put it in the hallway.

Then, Airon left this place and looked outside with a bit of vigilance. There were no changes outside. Except that the sun was gradually setting and there were some corpses on the ground, there was nothing unusual.

He looked over to where his convoy should be, Airon reached out to adjust the position of his radio around his chest and said, "Zz.... Billy, how's the situation outside? Answer me right away if you can hear me."

"Zz... Chief, there's nothing out of the ordinary."

"Some of the group are eliminating the walkers that were attracted by the sound just now, but everything is normal."

"That reassures me, we'll come back when we check this place where we are!"

After explaining the matter, Airon looked in the direction where they came from, he couldn't see the convoy yet, so he turned around and planned to look for something else pro the place.

He had been thinking about the name marked in the sketchbook, that name seemed familiar to him and it was more than obvious that it has to do with some important person of which right now he couldn't remember.

"I guess the name Enid is really someone I'm forgetting about, I should put this stuff away and see if I remember it later."

"Airon!"

Just as Airon was thinking of something, Jon's voice came from the intercom.

"Come and take a look on the fourth floor. I found three corpses in one room and they all have a W on their foreheads, two of them died recently. Ugh... Damn, this is so fucking gross, hurry upstairs and come take a look at this."

"Okay, I'll be there in a moment."

Hearing Daryl's frustrated words, Airon decided to listen to him, he looked out the window again and walked towards the stairs to the fourth floor.

The fourth floor of this building.

As Jon and Daryl approached, an unpleasant smell hit them in the face. Airon waved his hand to disperse some of the smell. Looking around, he saw Jon and Daryl standing in the doorway, covering their faces.

"What's the matter, why are their expressions so exaggerated?"

Airon walked quickly towards the duo. When he was asked to come closer, he found that the expressions of these two were very bad, Jon's face was a little pale and he was still beating his chest in frustration.

Waving to Airon, Jon nodded and said he was fine, but pointed to the dark room in front of him and said, "I'm fine, Chief, you and Daryl should go in and take a look yourselves, I'll go out and look for Glenn."

After he finished speaking, Jon seemed to remember something again, feeling increasingly uncomfortable, and quickly left for the entrance to the stairs, obviously not wanting to linger in this place.

Looking at the back of Jon leaving, Airon didn't say much and then his gaze shifted to Daryl.

"Don't look at me, I came in when I watched Jon leave the room."

Looking at the messy entrance to that room, the floor was littered with footprints. It was obvious that there were a lot of walkers in this place.

Inside the room, the door was ajar, needless to say aje had been Jon who left it that way.

"Well, let's go in..."

The room was dark, Airon slowly walked towards the room and Daryl followed him, the dazzling smell of blood became more and more intense, the stench and smell of blood mixed together, most people would probably vomit at the smell of it.

"Cough cough..."

Daryl coughed dryly twice and quickly covered his mouth and nose with his hand, Airon on his side took out a flashlight and looked inside. There were a bunch of things blocking the way, which looked like people who did all this.

They continued walking inside, the first thing Daryl and Airon looked at was two male corpses lying on the side of the door, although the clothes on their bodies were stained blood red, they were still very new.

But when Airon saw the blood on their faces and hands, his shock was shaken, and he quickly moved the flashlight to illuminate the depths of the room to the right. It wasn't just him, Daryl was also stunned staring at the scene for a long period of time.
