Chapter 58: The Architect’s Return -56

[Ding! Warning! SCP-2430 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-1689 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-1171 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-1370 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-131 has appeared!]

Another handful of SCPs came in one by one; thankfully, from the low-level rewards they were granted, they mostly seemed to be Euclid or safe-class objects.

It is not that safe, or Euclid-class objects couldn't be a huge problem. After all, even SCP-343 was listed as a safe class object in the database, and that SCP was none other than God!

These objects could be incredibly dangerous, just not hard to contain. So yeah, with each new SCP, Alex knew that he would have an endless amount of work ahead of him.

[Ding! Warning! SCP-3199 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-155 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-914 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-1281 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-701 has appeared!]

Within the last SCP objects, there seems to be one Keter and one he recognized.

SCP-914, also known as the clockworks. Now, this was an interesting object. It was a safe class, though that would only be true as long as the object was in Foundation containment.

A machine that could destroy anything but, more importantly, improve anything. The problem was that the improvements were random.

There was no way to know how the machine would improve something. Which could be very dangerous.

Should one place a sample of the common cold inside the machine, it might create a supervirus capable of wiping out all of mankind.

It was also capable of creating other SCP objects by placing mundane items inside of it. Yes, it was a machine that could be used for an enormous amount of good but also an equal amount of evil.

It was something that definitely needed to be contained by the Foundation before some of the crazy, Marvel scientists out there found and decided to play around with things they did not understand.

Once in proper containment, well, there would be an incredibly long list of tests he would like performed with the machine. For one, he was very curious about what would happen if one were to place vibranium inside it under a very fine setting.

Still, even though it was a very valuable and useful SCP object. Alex couldn't be happy. After all, his temporary death had just unleashed a total of 28 SCP objects.

This system had even been kind enough to round up his points to give him a discounted summoning just to ensure his points reached zero.

Still, the number of new Foundation SITEs he had gotten was staggering. He even got a few MTFs as well, including the Alpha-8 nuclear submarine fleet and Epsilon 11. Beta-777, hecate's spear, was a task force specialized in dealing with the occult.

Something that could come in handy if he ever had to deal with the sorceress or some of the other magic uses of the Marvel Universe.

Tau-9, the bookworms, were less useful as he didn't have the library SCP they were specialized in dealing with. Tau-51, code-named Urban Brawl, was more useful.

Still, the system was far from done with notifications.

[Ding! It has been detected that Host is alive! Congratulations to the Host for being alive!]

[Ding! It has been detected that Host is not the sole member of the O5 council!]

[Ding! Due to more than one member of the O5 council existing at once, Host has been rewarded with Foundation SITE-001!]

[Ding! It has been detected that there are currently two SITEs designated with 001!]

[Ding! This former SITE-001 has been redesignated to SITE-009!]

Getting access to the real SITE-001 was a pretty major deal as it was an incredibly well-defended location.

If you were to retreat to that place, his safety would be pretty much all but guaranteed unless the world decided to end.

Yet one of the reasons for its safety is also its remoteness, and while he could do much of his work remotely. There were still things he wanted to do personally, whether, for now, he would remain here.

Perhaps he would arrange for a short trip there to set up his ripple retreat to allow him to treat them rather than his primary residence. Something to think about, if nothing else.

[Ding! It has been detected that Host no longer has sole control over all Foundation resources!]

[Ding! To compensate Host for losing sole control of all Foundation resources, Host is being rewarded with all O5-1 assets!]

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting SITE-88 "The Vault"]

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting Facility Gamma-5 "The Nexus"]

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting SITE-103 "The Colosseum"]

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting Facility Zeta-12 "The Garden"]

Four additional sites and facilities were granted to him. These were different from the normal Foundation sites he got.

These four belonged solely to him. Stashed with his most loyal of subordinates who answered to none but him, even the rest of the O5 council had no power over these facilities.

They also all served some purpose for his role within the Foundation leadership. He was the Architect, the Master of Resources and dark operations.

These four facilities would enable him to serve the Foundation better as such. The Colosseum, in particular, was of great interest to him.

The largest gathering of D-class personnel was an enormous prison complex where he could train the prisoners to prepare them to be assigned, as well as have them work for him.

Word they did; the United States of America, with its large prison population, had long since figured out how to make money for free labor. What they did his Colosseum did on a far greater scale.

It was one of the few sites of the Foundation that actually made money, and it made a lot of money. Billions in profits are generated yearly from this site, or at least it would start now.

The vault was just that. His personal vault is filled with wealth weapons and, in the future, SCP objects. For one, the waters from SCP 006 would be stored there until he had use for it.

The Nexus was square, and his lieutenants would ensure that he had all the authority on a global scale he would need. It was the administrative center of his operations. With this new site added to his hand, it would need to move around some projects to ensure that O5-2 didn't touch his assets.

The garden was at least unique to his new facilities. It was just an SCP research facility. Something the Foundation had plenty of. The only difference here was that the other members of the council and the Ethics Committee had no oversight, meaning he could do whatever he wanted.

"Wait a minute, this is perfect! Yeah, I can move all my Marvel assets over, and I won't have to answer to anyone."

He quickly made a mental note to move his Ironman project to this facility. In the future, many more projects would be moved here, including the Hulk.

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting the inner elite of O5-1! Consisting of 20 elite subordinates fully loyal to Host!]

The acquisition of the inner elite of O5-1, a cadre of 20 elite subordinates, represented a pivotal reinforcement of Alex's operational capabilities. These individuals, each a specialist in their respective fields, brought a wealth of knowledge, skills, and unwavering loyalty directly to his command.

Commander Alexei "The Wraith" Petrov. Someone who would take the role of lead operative for high-risk missions, specializing in infiltration and assassination, had countless uses for him. In fact, Alex was already thinking of sending some widows over to him for training.

Dr. Naomi Sinclair, his head of biological research and development, focuses on weaponizing SCP entities. He was also someone of great use, in particular when it came to using Marvel SCP objects such as the Hulk.

Mikhail "Misha" Ivanov has the role of chief intelligence officer, responsible for cyber-operations and information warfare. It would be key in dealing with Shield, Hydra, and Stark's AI. Not to mention someone who could work on the Iron Suit software.

Isabella Torres, an undercover specialist, was tasked with manipulating and controlling the various criminal syndicates under his umbrella. Something that would be needed now that news of his death would surely destabilize them.

Ghost, his enforcer and problem solver. His number one guy for handling all his problems, from disruptions in the D-class procurement chain to silencing those who threaten the secrecy of The Chaos Insurgency.

Yara Al-Farsi. Financial wizard, orchestrating the financial logistics that fund clandestine operations and SCP containment efforts globally. A key member of staff for someone of Alex's role in the Foundation.

Dante Rossi Underworld liaison, maintaining and expanding Alex's control over European criminal enterprises. Someone who would be having plenty of work ahead of them real soon.

Aarav Patel, his very own personal Tech mogul, oversees technological innovations and cyber-security for the Foundation's covert activities. Another man who would be working on the Iron Suit program.

Lucia Hernandez was someone he almost felt bad for, given her role as legal strategist and cartel overseer, ensuring that Foundation activities in Latin America proceed without legal or criminal interference.

Kwame Nkrumah is a military strategist and political influencer managing SCP containment and acquisition efforts in Africa. This was someone who would soon be sharing the headache of Wakanda with him.

Svetlana Volkov is his man working around Russia and Central Asia as an intelligence operative, ensuring the Foundation's interests are protected in a region rife with conflict and SCP activity.

Jun-seo Park, soon to be leader of the Iron Suit program, has given his role as his head of technological innovation, focusing on AI and robotics for containment and reconnaissance.

Fatima Zahra wasn't too important in the grand scheme of things. Anomalous artifact recovery specialist, blending archaeology with Foundation objectives. Sounded like a nice job description on paper, but it was a job description practically every member of the Foundation had.

Connor MacLeod was a more curious case; his role was counter-terrorism and internal security director, managing containment breaches and operations within the UK and Ireland. Alex would have to find out why exactly he had someone doing this in the UK and Ireland.

Natalia Rodriguez was someone whose number he would have to add to speed dial. Diplomatic liaison and operations coordinator, ensuring smooth Foundation operations across diverse political landscapes.

Tariq Al-Jabari was another curious person with an equally curious role in his inner circle. Head of mobile medical operations, offering humanitarian aid as a front for SCP recovery missions in conflict zones.

Ekaterina "Katya" Ivanova is under the same umbrella. Polar region operations head, specializing in containment and research in extreme climates. He could only assume that the original O5-1 had a particular interest in this kind of SCP object.

Amirah Al-Hassan. Director of Psychological Operations and Information Control, specializing in media manipulation and counterintelligence to support Foundation activities. Seemed to be someone who would prove vital in the future.

Haruto Nakamura would have to be warned about the possible actions of the Mandarin, given her role. Technological Liaison and Pacific Operations Manager, integrating advanced technology with Foundation strategies and securing anomalies in the Pacific region.

And finally, the head of The Garden, Sofia Castillo. Environmental Specialist and South American Operations Coordinator, focusing on ecological SCPs and minimizing the Foundation's environmental footprint.

Many of these even came with their own forces and facilities. Fully enabling his role as head of the chaos insurgency. A rather thankless position, all things considered.

One that would have him at odds with all the heroic heroes of the Marvel Universe, all those who did not understand the necessity of having someone choose the necessary options.

Still, his death, while having destabilized certain spheres of his power and influence, had also drastically increased his power on a global scale.

The Foundation were now stronger than ever. Well, than it's ever been in this world, it still had a while to go before it was back to its true potential.

Now, he really needed to assess the damages caused by his death as well.
