Charlie squad makes its way up the north side while Delta stays with me on the west. I have a good view of the wall where three guards are patrolling. One of them is a tall, brutish-looking guy, and the other two are lean women with short hair. Piece of cake.

I motion to the leader of the Delta squad, James, who still hasn’t said a word to me, and he motions to the rest of his team.

They form a line just inside the forest, where the guards on the wall can’t see them. One of the men on Delta squad moves up and fires three successive rounds at the guards. They all go down. Thank Selene, for small favors.

I rush forward with intense speed, feeling the wind batter my skin, and make my way up to the looming compound. The rest of the Delta squad follows one by one until we are all at the western entrance to the compound.
