Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Adjusting

If there was one thing Grayson Carter knew how to do, it was how to keep things hidden. He may not have a plan, or know exactly how to feel about…everything, but he figured that if he just kept his head down and barreled down through his discomfort, everything would be fine again. One day.

It wasn’t that he was uncomfortable being around Jude, in fact it was more that he was uncomfortable with how much he truly enjoyed being around Jude. It was like breathing, effortless and natural. That being said, his brain wouldn’t let him think about getting any closer than they already were.

It had been about two weeks since the confrontation that turned into an apology circle and Grayson was feeling pretty confident that he was acting more normally now. Of course, he and Jude hadn’t been out again since their first date. Jude asked, once or twice, but Grayson was just a really busy guy. It didn’t mean anything. At least, that’s what Grayson told himself.
