While I was descending, I started hearing some human noises and screams.
It looks like some newbie adventurers are fighting with monsters.
Well, that was pretty normal, aside from the fact that those screams were not screams of fighting but screams of agony.
What is the biggest reason high death rate of adventurers in the dungeon?
It is not because the monsters are very strong. No, it is not that.
When we compare their strength, even a level 1 adventurer with 0 stats like me can fight with them, albeit with a little difficulty.
The thing that makes adventurers die is the accumulated fatigue and their overestimation of themselves.
Even though the strength of some monsters is strong, it is not like their strength is unknown.
The important thing is one's accurate evaluation of themselves.
If one overestimates themselves, one will die without even reprimanding their mistakes.
This is also the case for the adventurers on the first four floors.
Although I didn't lose that much energy while fighting monsters, it is because I have strong combat sense and precise attacking points, which makes me kill the monsters faster.
However, not everyone is like that. In fact, most people don't have any combat experience before becoming an adventurer.
Therefore, they lose too much energy while fighting with the monsters, which makes their speed and strength lower, and that results in a very dangerous situation.
It is this chain of reasons that makes adventurers die at a fast rate.
And the situation in front of me is a perfect example of that.
There are three newbie adventurers in front of me trying to fight with 6 kobolds.
Generally, on this floor, there wouldn't be 6 kobolds spawned at the same time. It looks like they have accumulated here because some other adventurers died since there are bodies of other dead adventurers here as well.
Normally speaking as a party, fighting with high numbers is much easier than doing it alone.
What I mean is that although they have 2 monsters per person, it is still easier than fighting with two monsters alone.
But, since they look like they have accumulated too much fatigue, none of them can play their part in their formation.
And just like that, the archer girl on the back was the first one to fall.
Their party has two swordsmen on the front and one archer on the back, so it is a pretty common party type.
However, since the swordsmen were also tired, they couldn't keep up with the kobolds in front of them and let one slip backline, which resulted in the injury of the archer girl.
"AAAAAAAAAAHH! It hurts!"
The moment the archer girl was hit by the kobold's slash, the party's formation was broken.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU DOG?"
Since one of the swordsmen in the front lost his composure and attacked the kobold, which injured the archer, he got surrounded by other kobolds as well.
As for the other swordsman?
He is running.
He is trying to save his life by abandoning his teammates.
And that makes me very pissed.
Know that I wasn't going to help these guys.
No, I am not some sort of hero.
However, seeing this bastard leaving while his teammates were dying made me remember some unpleasant things that happened to me recently.
And I instantly dashed to the bastard who was leaving the dungeon and attacked him immediately.
/CLANK/
And I must say, this guy is good.
At least for a beginner adventurer, he is better than me at least in using swords.
But so what?
Since he was fatigued, I was the one who got the advantage in our clash.
After that, I started attacking without giving him time to rest.
"Who are you? Why are you doing this? If you want my money, you ca-"
This guy…
Who talks while fighting?
One diagonal slash with my left sword.
/CLANK/
Got blocked by his sword.
One lower slash to his legs with my right-hand sword.
/SPLURT/
Connected with his legs cutting them in the process.
"AAAAAH!"
A scream of agony.
Ah, his face is overlapping with James' right now.
Another slash to his arm is holding the sword.
/CUT/
/SPLURT/
/THUD/
Connected, severing his arm in the process.
"AAAAAAAAH! MY ARM, MY ARM, IT FUCKING HURTS!"
Another scream of agony, but it looks like his face is back.
One slash to his neck.
/SPLURT/
/THUD/
Connected, killing him instantly in the process.
With that, I killed this bastard, but why do I feel nothing?
Shouldn't I feel a bit euphoric since I killed that bastard who reminded me of James?
Well, it doesn't matter.
I don't want to analyze myself right now.
With that, I looted the things on this guy to my inventory.
I must say this guy was a bit of a hardworking person. No wonder he valued his life this much.
This guy has 15 goblins' and kobolds' magic stones in his back, which is close to the 18000 Valis.
((The magic stone of goblins and kobolds sold at 1200 Valis approximately.))
Well, it doesn't matter, though.
I looted his magic stones and his sword, which is the same sword as mine, and his two daggers.
Normally I would buy a dagger too, but I didn't have enough money on me so…
After looting this guy, I turned my attention to the other two.
It looks like they will be dead soon.
Although I am not some sort of a hero, I am planning to fight with these kobolds.
And, it is not because I want to save them, no.
It is because the kobolds are distracted by them, and this gives me the opportunity to strike since it would be a bit hard for me to fight with these 6 kobolds at the same time without a good plan.
With that, I started to walk slowly to the kobold close to me and drew my daggers.
As I said, I have a plan.
And the plan is to use my magic on the daggers.
I think last time I couldn't move my swords, not because I didn't have enough practice but because my magic stat was too low for the swords since they are a bit heavy.
I thought, what if I tried to move a dagger? What would happen?
With that, I thought, connecting my mind with the dagger this time. And I felt a connection with it.
After that, in my mind, I imagined the dagger flying around me, and it started to levitate, and I got the gist of everything.
Although it looks like I still can't use the other dagger right now, I think when my magic stat is raised, I can use other blades too.
With that, I threw the other dagger I got from that guy and hit it in the head of the closest kobold.
After that, I dashed to them while controlling the dagger flying around me to attack the kobold near me.
Even though it is a bit hard to multi-task, it is nothing much.
Since my other self and I are good at multi-tasking, doing it wasn't that hard for me.
With that, I slashed the kobold in front of me with the sword on my right arm while dodging the attack of the other one by crouching to my left side and following it with a vertical slash from my bottom to the attacker.
/THUD/ /THUD/
With that, they turned to the particles leaving their magic stones behind.
/SWISH/ /PIERCE/
While I was killing those two, there was an attack coming from my right.
I instantly rotated the dagger I was controlling and pierced the head of the kobold attacking me, and with that, 4 of the kobolds died instantly.
After that, I turned my attention to the remaining kobolds.
The last two are attacking the adventurers, and by the looks of it, the adventurers won't be able to stand any longer.
I thought and dashed to the kobold attacking the guy and slashed its head.
After that, I killed the other kobold and looted their magical stones.
"Thank you so much for helping us. If you didn't come, we would have died. Thank you again for saving us, sir?"
And, the annoying part has come…
Guys, give me power stones.
