Hatsu
Arriving back at the dock it was easy to hear Nami yelling and struggling to escape from one of the traps Momo had set on the boat before we left it. With a smug grin, I released Nami as she gave me a glare before patting herself off and handing me a bag "Here this is your share of the loot" "Our share? I hope you don't think that we are going to accept anything less than 90% of the loot" at this Nami flinched a little before trying to slide a bag behind her with her foot, Momo lept behind her and Grabbed the bag "This looks like a good amount to leave to the townsfolk for repairs" before throwing the bag over to the few townsfolk that were peeking out to see what the noise was.
"The Buggy pirates have been defeated. Use that to rebuild your town" At this one of the townsfolk crept over to the bag before opening it, they then broke down into tears while thanking us as Momo started the boat and we left. As soon as we were out of earshot Nami decided to confront me. "what was that? aren't you pirates? why would you go and give away treasure like that?" "Just because we are pirates does not mean we are evil, we are sailing with the purpose of freedom, if that leads to us being labelled as pirates then so be it, after all, who is freer than the pirate queen" Nami was stunned by my response, clearly not expecting anything that I had said especially the part about becoming pirate queen.
As I left nami to her thoughts I took some of the treasure out of the bag before sitting it beside her as her share when my system popped up.

Navigating my menu I found where I could use my upgrade token, out of my abilities the main candidates for upgrading are my nen and my Alert feat, upgrading my Alert would most likely give me observation haki which would make me nigh untouchable until we reach the second half of the grand line, but upgrading my nen could not only increase my amount of nen, therefore, allowing me to fight longer it might also give me the ability to form my Hatsu which could be a great boon if my idea comes to fruition.
I decided to upgrade my nen and used the token, I could feel my nen reserves expanding as my nen also became more refined and easily controlled, clearly the token had given me an all-around boost for my nen. I closed the system and walked over to one of our training dummies before testing my new limits, Winding up with all my might and focusing my nen I delivered a devastating blow to the dummy as it was blown in half and flew off the ship, Momo came running out of the cabin to see what happened as Nami stared at me in shock again, I just waved it away by saying I was testing a new ability, Momo accepted this and went back to steering while Nami seemed to be appraising me, most likely either thinking of how to use me to either make her more money or to defeat Arlong.
After my display, I sat down to meditate and test if I could form my Hatsu. The essentials of a good Hatsu are the principles of equal exchange. The more complex and limited in scope your ability is, the more powerful it then becomes. It is even possible to enhance your Hatsu through sacrifice. If there is an apparent flaw in your Hatsu, then that can make it so that there are essentially no other flaws. My Hatsu will be able to manipulate any hostile forces that target my body and redirect it into my palms, as nen only considers a normal body it should ignore my paw pads and regard that as a weakness, not only as somewhere I am exposed but also where I will accumulate damage, thus allowing me to be nigh untouchable while my paws can redirect attacks from any direction. Of course, I doubt that I will be able to sustain it for long with my current nen but that can be improved in the future.
After meditating for a few hours I was able to grasp my Hatsu in its most basic form, Sparring with Momo I was able to take her hits with no effort but it seemed that every hit caused my nen to deplete faster, I was only able to hold my ability for a minute before becoming exhausted but that is more than enough time to finish a fight. As we sat down and prepared dinner, Nami joined us and started a conversation. "So where are we heading?" "Our next stop is Syrup Village, there is a Pirate in hiding there that would make a good target" "Oh so are you just fighting strong pirates?" "yeah, something like that" As dinner was cooked and we were finishing eating Nami spoke up again "Why did you bring me with you? you clearly know that I'm a thief, aren't you worried that I will steal from you?" "I know more than you think Nami, you will come to understand but for now I hope you will just enjoy our company as we enjoy yours" As I flashed her a reassuring smile she shied away while blushing as we headed into the cabin to sleep. Momo had already made another bed for Nami while I was meditating, so we all hopped in bed and drifted off to sleep.
