The shifters made their way back to the fire, laughing and shouting. Someone began playing instruments and the drums beat loudly and echoed into the air. The shifters began to dance around the fire, spinning and swaying with grace. Sage glimpsed a few shifters transform into their wolf forms and take off into the night, howling.
She could understand how this was an important event for them. It was a night when they could let loose together and embrace who truly they were. They moved to the beat with their eyes closed, the men swaying behind the women with their hands on their hips. When the beat shifted, they jumped and leaped like they were reaching for the sky.
