Chapter 46: Jealousy turns hearts to stone.

Aphrodite soon emerged from one of Demeter's gardens.

Inside one of the great rooms of the Palace of Zeus there were several other places that served as small domains for some gods.

Demeter, one of Zeus's ex-wives, had a huge hall, the place was so big that it went from one end of the palace to the other and occupied an almost complete floor.

It could easily take a human days to walk its entire length.

That kind of place was very common.

Many gods had their own rooms and small domains within Zeus's own palace or amidst Athena's extensive garden.

The only one who had a domain just for herself was Aphrodite, considered a great danger to everyone she was kept almost in exile.

Not many gods would dare share the same space with her and humans would most likely be too easy prey.

She would wreak havoc.

Little was known, but Zeus and Aphrodite had an agreement in which she would have her own place and in return she would leave everyone around her alone.
