Chapter 95: His Protection

"Now you know why I chose you, Christopher. Because whatever demon you think you have and whatever pain you think you can cause me, you definitely can't outmatch all I've endured."

There was no doubt Christopher could hurt, devastate and even ruin her like he had once promised, because a man like him who has always gotten what he wanted, would pay no care when he takes all he could from her. But with fifteen years experience of being manhandled and abused, Alexa believed she could take whatever he threw at her.

But while she shared that thought, Christopher thought differently. He knew he could hurt her, and even in a way she had never imagined.

Christopher looked at her petite form on the couch, and his eyes fell on the faint yellow prints on her neck, evidence of his own manhandling and proof that he would hurt her more than anyone else had done.

"I doubt that is true, Alexandra. I'm already hurting you." His words were hard and hollow.
