Chapter 64: The Cabin

"Are you ready?" Christopher asked, stubbing out his cigarette as Alexa sauntered over with her bag.

"Yes," She nodded, and the warmth of the smile on her face made Christopher smile too.

"Get in." He ordered, and Kirk, who had been standing by his side, took her bag and placed it in the trunk.

Seeing her walking towards the back seat, he stopped her. "Sit in front. I'm driving." He said, and Alexa darted her eyes to Kirk, who closed the trunk and stepped aside.

She gazed at Christopher with surprise. He was driving?

"Why do you look so surprised?" Christopher asked with a hint of a smile.

"I haven't seen you drive before." She replied.

"Now, you will. Get in." He said, gesturing at the car with his head.

Unconvincingly nodding, Alexa stepped into the car.

"Are you sure you can drive?" She doubtfully asked, looking at Christopher when he stepped in after her.
