Selena's POV

I lied to Skyler when I said I was glad he would accompany his father in going to Switzerland. The truth is, I don't want him to go. But I don't want to be selfish; at least he won't be seeing Vivianne. It would be for the best because I don't want them to cross paths again.

I became more anxious as the days passed, and just thinking about Sky leaving made my heart ache even more, but I didn't let him know I was having a meltdown. I don't want him to go, but the idea that I would be coming home to Isla Verde and being with my family made me less lonely.

Sky was out again with his father, and Stanley didn't ask me to come with him to his office. It felt like I was having a day off, and since the butler told me I was not allowed to help the maids with the household chores, I stayed in Sky's room, binge-reading my book.
