"Really?" Merlin stared at her and then looked at Arad.
"Don't look at me. I barely woke up," He sighed, standing up, "It doesn't matter, does it?"
"It does," Amber cried with a red face.
"Let her be for now," Merlin stood beside him, "We need to figure a way to get water, and I have a plan,"
"Really? There is only mud and trees outside," Arad looked at the door.
"Mud has water in it," Merlin smiled, "I need your fire Amber. And your barrier," And then looked at Arad.
"You can make water?" Amber stared at her.
"Of course. We would have needed it sooner or later," Merlin smiled, "Follow me," She walked outside and looked at the endless mud covering this lair with a grin.
"Arad, can you create two barriers?"
"No, I can only make one at a time with my current self," He replied.
"I see. How big can you make it?"
Most spell inscriptions are simple physics. Merlin, who understands the spells she learned in detail, can apply the same concept as this to achieve the same effect.
That means there are three levels of casters. People who can cast magic without any knowledge, like sorcerers.
Wizards who learn spells by memorizing them. Those can cast spells, but they don't understand the basic concept.
And lastly, we have people like Merlin who have a deep understanding of what they are casting. This allows them to even create new spells.
