Love the story so far. But that doesn’t matter what matters is you don’t drop it like the other CD fanfic. Would be a shame. And the rating should be higher 😡
It is well written and I really enjoy the work, but the way the author has decided to continue the novel but in a condensed format kind made me think of not continuing to read it, and although I can see where they are coming from wanting to focus on their own original book it’s making me debate whether I should continue to read it. But in the end it’s amazing fanfic that is definitely worth the read.
Very well written for a fan fiction. My main problem with it is the war arc makes little to no sense. He needs to go out and gain experience? Let of steam? This is when he has been training in the jungles for months previously… The other thing I find highly annoying is how the female lead needs to magically equal to the mc. Fine if you did this from the start cause then that’s part of her character. But now we find out she is gonna leach off of the mc being bonded to his soul and get a magical boost from her bloodline that magically appears. The main problem is that instead of the people around him having there own opportunity’s to better themselves they are all literally leaching off of the mc to keep up and provide nothing in kind. Just shows very poor storytelling, hmm maybe that’s not the right word for it. Just lazy writing
aside from ace falling for a 8 year old cute girl every other issue with this fanfic is counter balanced by other good points it's an okay read material
Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good. Very good.

I have read 43 chapters and it's okay. The grammar and the words flow great. There are currently 100 chaps and a quick skim shows that there are at least a few chapters every month. The plot is okay, but there are a few things that are off-putting. (1) Ace is inconsistent, going from OP Ace to acting with typical xianxia arrogance. (2) The appeal of Coiling Dragon was its unique power system and characters not acting like those from typical xianxia stories, but it has started devolving to that and may as well be an AU because the characterization of one character that is literally one of the most important plot-points in the original has been changed without explanation so far. (3) The OP downplay. I can ignore making Haki visible due to an in-story answer, but saying that an 8th-rank magic beast is on par with the Yonko is stupid. Saints have a pretty consistent power scaling at mountain+ which is much lower than Whitebeard who can cause a tsunami on Sabaody as a side-effect of his fight in Marineford and the other Yonko who scale to him. Islands, their distance, and the world itself are also much larger than they initially appear in One Piece so even with Yulan Plane's incredibly large size that should still put Yonko above an 8th grade magic beast.
Reveal SpoilerBro writing a CD fanfic with focusing only on the Mortal world. The world of CD is infinite, so much to explore.
It is a very addictive story, it has its ups and downs but it is very good. It impresses me how the author managed to perfectly capture the personality of Ace, a reckless idiot with a good heart and a hunger for adventure.
the reason I liked coiling drogans was because the people in it were so much better than other Chinese novels that are all about petty revenge and face slapping but in your story you made them all into young masters I wouldn't mind if u did it to some random characters but u did it to the main family when they were super nice and chill in the original, the mother was literally a Saint and for some reason you made her petty and comically evil ,all in all if you liked coiling dragon for its refreshing pace of almost no young masters this story is probably not for you. also, Ace is super au he is not even a little bit like in one piece it you should think of Ace as an oc in the fanfic.
First off I'll say that the grammar of the story is great and the idea was unique. Coiling Dragon was one of the first novels I have read so a fanfic of it is always nice to see. Light spoilers below. There are however a few big issues. In the first few chapters the MC declares to be less impulsive in this life due to his actions having consequences in his previous life. While calm in the beginning within a few chapters the MC throws that all away and becomes a lot more antagonistic than most Chinese MCs to basically everyone with power, which, funnily enough have consequences. I also do not understand the need for the non element during the test and while I'm not sure if that will change or not later, it is unnecessary drama that is more liable to annoy readers then make them want to read further. Considering he was known as "Fire" Fist Ace, many readers probably logically assumed that fire would be his element. Of course the hype before the element test where the MC of course antagonizes someone to then have the curve ball where he has no elements makes it that much worse to accept. Therefore I've had to unfortunately rage quit due to this cliché where there always has to be a problem with an MC in a Chinese novel. Good luck author, I still say that the novel is unique and definitely worth a read.

Look, I'm a sucker for Coiling Dragon. It was one of my first novels within the genre and to this day, it holds a special place in my heart. That's not the only reason to love this story, though. Writing Quality: Superb. It's original and doesn't follow the plot at all while retaining a great amount of the originals charm. Story Development: While there are some clichés and tropes, the author plays around with them in a good way. You can predict the plotlines pretty well if you are a veteran in the genre but it's executed in a charming way so I see no real problem here. Character Design: 5 stars without a doubt. Ace feels alive as do all of the supporting characters. Kong is an arrogant lil sh*te but we love him anyways. Updating Stability: It's never going to be enough so I can only give 4 stars here, sorry. World Background: I love the way the author is expanding on the source material. His inclusion of Haki is fluid and I'm heavily invested in the path to power that Ace will take. It's one of the strong points of the novel and he's keeping us on our toes with it. Conclusion: If you loved the original, you'll adore this one too. If you haven't read the original, you don't have to as the author explains most things rather inclusively but I still recommend reading the original simply because it's a good novel. Thank you for picking up such an underappreciated world, author. I really hope you'll take it all the way to the end even though it's an incredibly daunting task. However far you'll go with it, I'll be with you every step.
How is it that every fanfiction that starts out as irony about cultivators turns into a regular cultivator novel? Author, return to the light side of the force.
A well written fanfic with good quality Grammer. My problem with this fanfic is that its frustrating to read, The drama in this fanfic makes my head hurt because of all the stupid wuxia cliches there are in this novel.I read fanfic to relax not to feel frustrated and this to me is a frustrating read, Especially the last few chapters have been intorable in the department and I also don't like the decision of him having no element affinity, his literal name was fire fist ace and you didn't even give him fire affinity and to me that's disappointing and I only see that decision making more unnecessary drama in the story. Overall good quality story but I won't recommend it.
It’s decent. Probably amazing for some people but not my cup of tea. Everything was amazing, till it was revealed ace had no elemental talent. Maybe he has some secret talent. Maybe author has plans, but this ruines it for me sorry :((. I will keep reading though, too invested
Reveal Spoileriits fanfic, the fanfic author is dragging the story against rough asphalt with 100 worded chapters just to say he put out a chapter when most of us rather he take 2-3 days to take his time with the chapters and let us know if any irl circumstances pop up and he/she will be away for some time.
So far so good. Keep up the good work, author. I don't mind changing Lina Baruch's character. This is the best Coiling Dragon fic I've ever seen. Thank you.
It's a good read. The story and writing flows well and the pacing is nice. I don't like how the author decided to flip some characters personality so much, but I'll read it as an AU. Just the fact that it's in Coiling Dragon makes it worth it.
Coiling Dragon how long have I not "heard" that name .........................................................................................................................
Love the book just weird that the og mc family is like that not that it’s wrong cause they are still nobles no matter what but I’m starting to hate them and he can’t do anything to Linley because of bebe’s gramps or at least I think haven’t read it in long time, still it’s a good story
Reveal SpoilerThis is such an amazing concept for a fan-fiction book. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the author does with it!!!
