Chapter 11: The Three Stooges

Lucian sauntered over to the classroom that his class used for their homeroom.

*Ding*

Hearing a small dinging sound Lucian assumed his system had something new for him, but the strange thing was, he didn't see any new notifications pop up.

Feeling a light buzz from his pocket, Lucian dug through them, fishing out his phone.

Lucian clicked a few buttons, and after undergoing a face and retinal scan, he realized that he had a new notification in the 'Three Stooges' group chat.

Scanning over the contents of the message, Lucian's mouth curved into a small frown.

"Sigh… These idiots honestly have nothing better to do."

Walking over to the classroom door, he slowly pulled it open.

Before the door could fully open, Lucian immediately jumped back.

Narrowly avoiding the chalk-covered blackboard eraser threatening to land square on his head.

Missing its target, the eraser fell to the ground with a *thud*, causing a cloud of chalkboard dust to rise up.

Gingerly picking up the chalkboard eraser, Lucian walked into the room, only to hear a chorus of groans.

"Come on… How the hell did he dodge that!"

"Yeah, someone must have ratted us out!"

The class unanimously turned to face two boys sitting at the edge of the room.

"It was you two fuckers, wasn't it! Sticking up for your fellow 'Stooge'!"

One of the 'Stooge's' stood up and covered his face with his hand.

"Ku ku ku! It must hurt, doesn't it! To see your plan fall apart right before your eyes! Fall into despair mortals!"

The other students looked at him with a deadpan look.

Even Lucian and the other 'Stooge' were no different.

"Umm? I'm not going to lie, seeing it fail does leave me mildly cheesed, but it's not enough for me to 'fall into despair' as you described it."

The other students nodded their heads in agreement.

The Stooge looked at his neighbour.

"You… You will back me up, right? James?"

The boy named James shook his head.

"Even I can't cure you of your edge Ethan. Believe me, I tried."

Ethan took a step away from James.

"I thought the three of us were one united whole! Lucian was the brains of the group, I was the personality, and you were the muscle! Why… Why do you deny me like this!"

James flicked Ethan on the forehead.

"You have too much 'personality'. Just sit down calmly for now, teach's gonna be here soon."

While some students complained in hush murmurs, other than throwing a few glares in his direction, no one said or did anything to Lucian.

Walking over to his usual seat, Lucian pulled it back and plopped himself down.

Not too long after he came through the door, Andrew one of the boys who corned Lucian in the bathroom came in and found a seat for himself.

"So… What's with the chalkboard eraser? I can't remember the last time these idiots pulled a prank like that."

At the beginning of the year, Lucian's treatment in his class was far worse than it was now.

While none of the bullying he endured led to any real physical harm coming to him, finding your locker flooded, dirt from the garden sprawled all over your table, and getting 'accidentally' splashed by water buckets was irritating, to say the least.

This continued for several days before coming to an abrupt stop one day.

Lucian was pleased by the change of pace but was still quite confused by the sudden change in attitude.

It was only a few days afterwards that Lucian found out Stella caught wind of the horrendous treatment he had to endure every time he stepped foot through the school halls.

Angered by this, Stella decided to let them feel the wrath of God.

Or in her case, the Goddess.

Lucian didn't know what she did to them, but every time she popped her head into his class, the whole class would stand up and greet her respectfully.

Reminiscent of a gang greeting their boss…

Lucian was slightly confused as to why their class would try something like that after 'becoming reformed'.

"Oh that… Apparently, some people in our class got pissed about you using the Goddess as some kind of taxi service." James responded.

"Taxi service? More like she broke into my house and dragged me here." Lucian lamented.

"This is what you get for trying to skip school again!" Ethan smiled teasingly.

Lucian shot him an angered look.

"I still haven't forgiven you for telling Stella I've been skipping class, you know."

Ethan looked away while trying to whistle.

Sadly, he lacked the skill to do so, so it came out as nothing more than loud blowing noises.

James shook his head with a sigh.

"Seriously… I don't know how I wound up with you two. I'm the only normal person here."

Lucian and Ethan both turned to face James.

"You're the least normal person among the three of us!" They yelled in perfect coordination.

"Shut up! I could hear you all the way down the hall!"

The doors opened and a red-haired woman walked through the doorway.

Her appearance was fiery enough to set a flame in the hearts of any man who gazed at her.

Her body excluded a certain charm, which many students in her class found irresistible.

She was slender, with a similar body type as Stella.

However, unlike Stella, she practically oozed mature charm.

She walked into the room and slammed the papers she was holding onto her desk.

Looking through the classroom her eyes stopped on Lucian.

"I see you decided to actually attend homeroom today, Mr. Sanguinis?"

Lucian smiled awkwardly.

"Well… Let's just say I didn't have a choice in the matter."

The teacher nodded with a look of understanding.

"I see, I'll make sure to thank her later."

She turned to face the rest of the class.

"Now that everyone's here let's start homeroom.."
