CHAPTER 57 – Evening Stoll 

The hours rolled by and Scarlet considered her options quite well.

She did not wish to make Jasper see her as one helpless being but most importantly, she did not wish to chase her only source of leaving her room.

Knowing her mother's rage, Diamonique was sure to get back at her for what she did and keeping her locked up for a very, very long time would not be a hard thing to do.

Who knows, perhaps a month, two, six or even a year. If she had to postpone her wedding and torture her with being caged so she could choose marriage as her only freedom, Diamonique would do so.

She had just finished taking her bath and dressed when a knock came on her door.

She lifted her eyes, signalling her new maid on what to do.

Like the princess she was, Scarlet straightened whatever wrinkles were on her clothes before sending her gaze after the maid.
