Chapter 51: Rescued

CHAPTER 51 – Rescued 

"Do we know you?" The third man inquired.

"I guess not but you will become friends with my fist when I am done," Zale threatened. 

He moved his arms and shoulders in a forward and backward movement as he got ready for the fight.

"I would ask one last time. Where is she?"

"You mean the beauty we just sold off?" The first man questioned and brought out the pouch of money for all to see while extending his hand forward.

He tore his gaze from the pouch in his hand, directing it to Zale and soon as his eyes marked him, he scoffed loudly. "I'm afraid, you are very late."

His breathing changed as the news being sent out replayed in his mind. 

'You're very late. Just sold off.'

Instinctively he jerked his head in the direction of the water, hoping to get a glimpse of Pearl.

To his surprise, she was not entirely gone, but it was too late for him to get to her in his human form.
