Chapter 29: Chapter Twenty nine

Cole and I move along the road toward Blue Moon pack while Jordan and the rest continue through the woods. We survey the road, using our heightened sense of smell. There are a few vehicles on the

road, no sign of Arya and the others.

My hopes keep getting thinner and thinner the nearer I get to the pack's headquarters.

We land on two headless bodies. They are for werewolves. There is a pool of blood around them and then trails of blood leading into the woods on the other side of the road. I follow the try, sniffing about for any familiar scent. Crossing over to the other side, we find the heads and three other beheaded wolves. That is when it hits me that this is happening. That Arya and her entire family are in great danger if they are still alive. God! I pray that they are still alive. She is still alive, or I would have felt it. That's what connected us in the mate bond when we marked each other. At very critical times, we can feel each other's emotions.
