The Mana moved along his lower abdomen to the palm of his right hand, carrying his not-so-strong mental power and reaching a frequency synchronised with the spirit of the lethargic child.
In an instant, Eric felt a lot of complicated feelings.
The pain this child went through was simply unimaginable.
Bravery.
Fear.
Sacrifice.
Dedication.
These emotions were intertwined with the memories he had just acquired, and Eric could feel the child more deeply in a three-dimensional way.
He has more courage than ordinary people, he was willing to fight to survive.
This child certainly also has a fear of belonging to this age.
Fear of the unknown.
Fear of death.
It's just that these fears were all overwhelmed by courage. Eric could feel the bright pulsing object deep within his soul, it was the sacred gear.
Starling Blue. The sacred gear was pulsating with strange power; it was feeding on the will of the child and was constantly getting strengthened.
This was a very rational child!
Eric felt the child's emotions and couldn't help but be in awe.
As he finished the healing, the breathing of the child was much more stable.
Eric withdrew his hand, and the expression on his face changed to one quite serious.
According to the child's memory, several other children were resting there. They all behaved toward one another as though they were siblings. Because they loved each other without conditions or boundaries, it's no wonder they made it through that hell together.
They offered themselves as a demonstration of their bravery!

Eric does not own it, but he has a lot of respect for it as an element.
"Their situation is pretty dire; it appears that holy energy has made its way into their internal organs. On the other hand, holy energy is relatively risk-free for people compared to the destructive potential of demonic energy; nonetheless, an excessive quantity can result in unintended shifts."
"Because their physical body isn't adapted to wielding holy energy, it's likely that it paralysed their nervous system instead."
"However, it did have some benefits; both their soul and sacred gear appear to have been boosted, and in addition, some deep modifications were produced in their physical power."
"But for that to happen, they have lost some significant amount of life span; at best, they could live another ten years."
"Although I was able to heal them, I was unable to restore the lost years to their lives."
Eric said solemnly.
Marsilio gave Eric's statements an unmoved nod and said, "Okay. I understand." He did not question what Eric had said.
On the other hand, one could detect a hint of regret and disappointment in his gaze.
Eric moved over to the next child, raised his hand, and gently rubbed the child's head.
Hum!
The entirety of Eric's body exhibited a faint tremor.
[Ding Dong!]

Eric's mind resounded with familiar electronic sounds. But, this time, the increase was different from just now, and it became physical power.
At the same moment, it was like a movie playing in his head as a succession of memories flashed by.
Perseverance.
Bravery.
Decisive.
Cautiousness.
This child's emotions were stronger than those of the previous child.
The outcome was substantially better than Eric had anticipated. Even if he believed the previous child was doing quite well, he is still afraid of being in the same age group as this youngster because of the comparison.
This child lacked any fear in him.
"Could there be someone like that?"
Eric inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly.
He had never in his wildest dreams imagined that a child of such a young age could have such an impressive mindset.
Was this some kind of otherworldly realm?
How many humans were walking in the darkness, bearing the brilliant light on their backs? Although humans are the least powerful species, their dogged persistence is beyond comprehension.
Eric spoke in a low voice and explained, "His case is the same as the last, but his condition is a bit better compared to the prior one."
After he had finished speaking, he gave the second youngster a thoughtful look and reflected on how the child had appeared in his thoughts.
Marsilio continued to merely nod and was silent regarding anything else.
Eric walked over to the third child with a heavy heart and his eyes slightly expanded as he took in the appearance of the third youngster.
He was a little boy who had dark skin, grey-blue hair, and purple eyes. He was also quite short. The faint aura of a strong presence within him was what shocked him more than anything else.
A name from his past instantly came to his mind as he thought about it.
Leonardo.
The wielder of "Annihilation Maker," one of the most powerful Longinus class sacred gear.
Eric was able to sense the potent aura that was being given off by the sacred gear; if it had been him in the past, he would not have been able to perceive it.
The application of Alpha Human Psychology led to his attainment of spiritual perfection, which in turn bestowed upon him two benefits: [Absolute Life Force] and a [Eternal Soul]. As a result, he developed a degree of sensitivity to spiritual energy as well as the ability to engage with it.
Yup, [Alpha Human Psychology] is alpha-level hax.
But it did cause some questions to arise inside of him, such as whether or not Captain Marsilio was aware that this kid had Longinus within him. And Eric is of the opinion that they are likely aware, but given that they have not provided any information to them regarding him, there is no need to act suspiciously.
Eric decided to keep his mouth shut and carry out the tasks assigned to him. He brought his palm up to the boy's head and pressed it firmly against it.
Hum!
Eric experienced a mild tremor all over his body at the same moment that he was made aware of a clear electrical alarm in his head.
Anger.
Hatred.
Fear.
Loneliness.
Eric heaved a sigh; it was to be expected that he was unique in comparison to other people.

Suddenly!
Eric felt a mild warm current explode in his body; he could sense his muscles tightening slightly in the presence of new energy, and the energy was going to rapidly erupt from his body since Touki had entirely attuned to his body precisely at this point. On the other hand, it was shrouded the second it appeared.
"Fuck, I almost lost it." Eric thought mentally.
Touki is, in its most fundamental sense, the outward manifestation of a person's life force, which would appear to be wrapped about him like an aura. It improves your offence, defence, and speed all at the same time.
Eric was afraid that with the power of his life force, he would have been able to demolish this island with a simple flex of his touki.
Sighing to himself, he healed Leonardo completely.
While he was tending to Leonardo, he couldn't help but feel envious of Longinus' class sacred gear because it automatically cured all of his injuries, including his soul fracture.
The only thing that Eric did was speed up the process; he didn't do anything else.
Eric let out a long sigh before moving on to the subsequent youngster and proceeding with the procedure.
After Eric checked on all 10 children, he took a deep breath to calm his mood.
After what seemed like an eternity, Eric eventually lifted his head and fixed his gaze on Marsilio. "Captain, I am done! However, I have something to say."
The tone that Eric used was really strong.
During the process of healing all of the children, he became aware of something and realised that he had misled Marsilio earlier in the conversation.
"What is it?" Curious, Captain Marsilio posed the question.
Eric stated, in a tone that was both icy and forceful, "Except for this one, all of these children are dying; they have passed the point where they may be saved."
Captain Marsilio frowned and asked, "Why?"
Didn't you say they still had a ten-year life expectancy?"
"They can, but only their body can; their soul can't, and I was previously unaware of that point."
"Whatever experiment was performed on them caused their souls to become shattered, although their bodies still have some degree of vitality."
Eric then went on after a brief break.
"From what I can see, their souls have been torn apart so that something may be placed in between them that appears to possess holy energy. However, the torn souls have not healed and are further cracking; at this point, it is just a matter of hours before they pass away."
