Seoul base: My Entry
I woke up to the sound of a garage door opening.
"Uh, where am i?" Daehyoon.
"We arrived." Runo.
Huh where, ugh, my head hurts... Did he do what the teen said and knocked me off?
The sound of lots of people talking reached my ears, i raised my head to a lot of people scattered in that area. A huge wall was surrounding a massive area, signs of civilization.
"My... This is unbelievable!" Daehyoon.
Even in my novel, there wasn't a place like this. Namsan's base was not at this level...
"I see you are a virus user. we are going to make sure by running some tests. If you know what's best for you, you should keep low and obey us. this base has a clear set of rules you mustn't break." Tufi.
"Sure i will do whatever to stay alive." Daehyoon.
This girl is intimidating after witnessing her powers...
We drove between the tents until we arrived at what looked like an unfinished government residential project.
The guy Runo stepped out from the car and pointed the gun at me...
"Get off the car and lay down on the ground." Runo.
The other guy opened the door to my right.
"Come on step out" The other guy.
I butt walked to the right and got out of the car and lay on the dirt floor. Runo untied my hands and escorted me inside the building.
It looked all dirty and none proper from the outside, but the inside was another thing. In contrast to the outside the inside was well done and finished, i was stunned by the scene...
"Move, we don't have all day long." Runo.
The girl was marching in front of me, Runo by my right side, and the other guy on the left. They looked very coordinated, i can't escape this. Even if i did that would be pointless. I don't know how to use the ring and the outside world is a mess.
"Where are you guys taking me?" Daehyoon.
"Registration office." Tufi.
"Registration office?" Daehyoon.
I never wrote anything about that in my novel, what? A registration office. Is this base civilized to that extent...
We arrived at a small office with a very tuff looking guy sitting behind the desk.
"Mr.Hansong this is the virus user we caught around Jung Gu district." Tufi.
"Ah, i was waiting for your arrival, so what is his power?" Hansong.
"I don't know yet, but i sensed a virus infection on him." Tufi.
"Good job Tufi! You can hand him to me now i will continue with him the other procedures, by the way, have you found the leader yet?" Hansong.
"No, we searched the eastern district but she is not there apparently" Tufi.
"Ah this is giving me a headache, where did she go? In the middle of all this mess.. uh, anyway good job Tufi" Hansong.
"Thanks, Hansong, i am going to the operations and rescue office to give my report." Tufi.
Tufi and the boys headed out of the office and i was left with this huge masculine dude...
"What's your name?" Hansong.
"Han... Han-Daehyoon." Daehyoon.
He sat on his chair and started typing stuff on the computer...
"What's your date of birth"
...
...
...
He kept asking me questions and typing for about an hour or so.. some questions i answered legitimately, and some were training of my novel knowledge and imagination.
This was easy, i learned how to do that in my world... Interviews and speeches were my things, the only thing that was hurdle for me was finding a partner.
Ah, he is taking too much time to return to the office. The man left me here waiting for about 30 min now... Paperwork is universal, it always takes too much time to register for something.
While staring at the clock i remembered my time in the prison, Searoom, Minho, and my zombie friends. I wonder if they doing okay. I was never meant to have a partner, but now i have a chance to meet people and make new friends. Maybe i can overcome my issue and find love after all these years.
*Door unlocked*
He came back. Ah, what now...?
"Take, this is your identity card. Since you have a criminal record you won't be trusted with anything significant, you are now a construction worker on the east group." Hansong.
"What..." Daehyoon.
They are not going to do something bad to me, am i allowed to live here... I thought i was meant to be a guinea pig.
"From now on you have to run tests in the clinic every 10 days if we discovered that you used your virus ability. You will be punished by death." Hansong continued
"So Daehyoon either use it and run or never... We have very powerful virus users on this base that maintain security."
"Why would i? I never knew i was a virus user. I want a peaceful life, that's all." Daehyoon.
"Good to hear that, it seems Tufi was a bit harsh on you! Don't worry you will get used to this place very fast. anyway, here is a document with all the rules and punishments. And also, you can find the rating and finances office to the north of here, you should be able to place a request to be rated, and you can find out the virus types and order you were contaminated with. The procedure takes some time due to insufficient workers there, but they will give you all information about your abilities." Hansong.
"Thank you!" Daehyoon.
"You seem too nice for a criminal your size! A lot of people changed after the apocalypse." Hansong.
Yeah, i wasn't this confident before... now i am, it can't be worse, i was a zombie after all. It's just better from now on.
In my time as a zombie, i thought a lot about giving up, going to a dangerous place, and wishing someone to fire a shot at me. But i never did, i was too attached to the tiniest of ropes, i didn't want to die. I hated dickhead at the start, he was the source of all the pain i suffered. I hated whoever bought me into this world, painful chapters of my life has ended.
Now i want to start as new, embrace who i am now, and live. My life in my world ended, i am not sure if i can go back or not but, i am here, in a world that i created, and in the body of character that i described... I bought this for myself. I am not full of hate anymore, i just want to live.
"What are you doing, hurry up go out!" Hansong.
"Ah, am i free to go?" Daehyoon.
"Sure, now get out of my office." Hansong.
Am i just free to go... Is there nothing else that has to be done!!??
