Chapter 5: I Am Stronger Now
I woke up... a Sunny day and a very high exposure, i am happy that i got hit in the shoulder only. I saw some palls get hit in the head, the PLACE, and other places with the training bullets.
I can't figure out if i am lucky or just unlucky enough to be tortured like this. I can't move my body... Everything is hurting...
"Ugh, AHH"
I raised myself and i was shocked, by the overgrowth veggies all over the walls of the building that surrounds the yard, some weird plants that i recognized, and most importantly my legs and arms were so skinny that you can see the shapes of the bones and vines.
I knew i stayed lying down for too long, i don't know how much time i have spent here...
"Huf... Haaah"
I barely stood up and left the yard.
Ugh, this place is falling apart, i thought i had a chance finally, but this world is keeping me from doing anything that makes me happy. I am a human now not a zombie anymore.
I barely recognized my cell if not for the fallen cell bars, the clock on the wall stopped at 12:24.
"The battery must have died..."
I was so hungry, so i headed up to the prison's kitchen hoping for any leftovers or anything that can help me regain full consciousness.
There is nothing here...
I think i was destinated for this, i hope i was hanged...
*Crying with no energy*
No tears...
Just as i was falling unconscious i heard a voice.
"You did it, Mr. Author, you survived 5 years in your novel." The voice continued
"You have been granted the Medal of Survival, you will get a gift for claiming the medal"
I woke up again...
But...
My body is the same as the first time i came to this novel's world, i am wearing just a prisoner's boxer but most importantly, now i can see without blur in my eyes.
I took a good look, i was so happy, i wished to die but i am as good as new. I enjoyed every detail of that kitchen with my so-good eyes, the dust everywhere, the broken windows, the red vines covering the walls even the dry mud in the corners of the walls and tables. I can see, i am alive.
"I am a HUMAN!!"
I shouted until i couldn't anymore, the world is beautiful again, i laughed, cried, hit the tables, and danced. My emotions were mixed. Is this just another time of those, one minute happy before an eternity of hell, i couldn't hold it anymore, i left my anger, pain, excitement, happiness, and sadness on the tables, walls, counters, and bars, i didn't express my feelings since i came to this world?
After calming down, the prison's kitchen was a mess. I destroyed everything even the thickest concrete walls. Then i remember the voice from earlier.
"What was that voice?"
I remember it saying something about survival medals and gifts.
*a moment of realization*
How can i destroy concrete that easily, it must be the vines that weakened it? it felt like punching cardboard.
I was on my way out when i noticed something glowing from the debris of the destroyed walls and tables.
"What is that!?"
I went to the place that was glowing and started digging through the wreckage.
"It would be useful if it was a flashlight."
I kept digging until i found the source, a perfect shiny round ball of glass.
"What is this!!!?"
The moment i touched it stopped glowing.
"Uhh!!??" Daehyoon.
"You have been granted one wish for getting the survival medal, say you wish..."
*Authors self-awareness turned negative again*
"Really, one wish, you stupid ball of glass. I survived hell to get one wish!! Ahh, calm down... Ouff... Ahhh... Ouff, now i think this is helpful, so i don't think it's going to work if i said something like i wish unlimited wishes or something, i need to think this carefully, food is important. A fighting skill will be helpful in this war world.." Daehyoon.
"Done analyzing the author's intention, your wish has been granted." The voice.
The ball of glass broke and a ring dropped from it. The ring was silver and thick, with net designs on its sides.
I picked up the ring and stared for a while...
"Did my wish of i wish unlimited wishes unexpectedly worked!??" Daehyoon.
I wore the ring on my middle finger, so what i am supposed to do now?
"I wish for a plate of ramen." Daehyoon.
...
..
Nothing happened...
"This useless ring" shouted daehyoon.
At that moment i got flashbacks of ramen, i sat on the floor and imagined a bowl of it in front of me, i was truly hungry, so much that i felt the heat of the steam hitting my face, so much so i felt the texture of the wooden chopsticks in my hand, so much so...
"Wait what!!" Continued Daehyoon,
"Is this a real bowl of ramen?!??"
I cried so hard while putting the first noodles strips in my mouth, it was so delicious UMMMH.
I took a sip from the bowl...
*Slurp*
"Ah, it's so good!"
I felt its spiciness and the flavors of the other ramen spices, ahh i love it.
I enjoyed every bit of that bowl, and when the stomach is full the mind sings.
So i can wish for anything if i can imagine it, oh this is so exciting am going to live as a king.
So first food, second is power...
Who was the strongest character in my novel, So i imagine myself stronger than him, maybe imagining a fight with him where i can win indicates that!?
Let's try it...
"Hmm"
I started feeling stronger, and a warm feeling started to grow where my but touches the floor, is this mana from the earth, i never wrote about mana in my novel, who would it is a zombie apocalypse novel after all?
I started sniffing some weird odor.
"This is very familiar and instinct"
