Aiden gave his cousin-in-law a dirty look.

"I don't drink human blood. My entire coven feeds from animal blood."

Zane's eyebrows arched upward. The corners of his mouth tilted up in a wide grin.

"I see. A vegetarian. Well, a whole coven full of vegetarian vampires."

Aiden gave no response.

He continued hiking up the hill and stopped paying attention to Zane.

A normal pure-blood vampire from such an extinguished family as the Caldwells probably did not understand why Aiden opted to be a vegetarian.

No, even the regular vampires were unable to understand why he refused to feast on human beings as the vampire's nature dictated.

Aiden knew that some vampires, like Benjamin Godwood, did believe that they were entitled to all human blood in the world.

In Aiden's eyes, they were infinitely cruel and selfish.
