Chapter 144: A protective friend

Olivia noticed the uncomfortable look that Jasmine was showing on her face. She felt discontent when she came back to the library from the toilet and saw Jasmine and Trent were in such a position. 

That was the reason for the grim look on her face. Olivia folded her hands in front of her chest and looked at Trent with an unkind look on her face. 

"Aren't you standing too close to her, Deputy Trent? What are you trying to do?" asked Olivia. 

Trent took a step back, released Jasmine's hair with a closed fist. Jasmine quickly scurried over to Olivia's side, away from Trent, "Oli," called Jasmine while holding onto Olivia's arm. 

"There was a spider stuck in her hair, I'm just helping to catch it," answered Trent. 

He then made a motion as if he was throwing the spider from his hands away and dusted his hands by rubbing them together.
