Chapter 675: Following Traces: Ambush

Nicholas's eyes narrowed as he stared ahead, clearly vigilant.

"Same as before?" Lyle asked, his tone sharp and focused.

Nicholas moved forward, his eyes locked on one spot as he got closer and closer before extending his hands forward, tracing invisible patterns in the air, seemingly sensing something.

"It's faint, but it's here."

"Similar to the tear in the village, but this was much weaker, probably an attack, the one we are chasing might have come across some monster and used spatial magic to kill it, thus leaving this subtle trace."

"Could it be a trap, could the enemy have done this on purpose, in order to fool somebody that might be chasing him?" Harrison asked as Nicholas shook his head.
