Nicholas and Lyle stood at the edge of the grasslands, looking out at the frozen landscape that lay before them. The transition from grass to ice was abrupt, the lush green giving way to a barren white expanse that stretched out as far as the eye could see.

The air was frigid, and they could see their breath fogging in front of them as they surveyed their surroundings.
