"Do … do we try to find Shade?" Raz asked from behind as Nicholas shook his head.
"He has used the instant transmission scroll, it will take him to a random place over a thousand miles away from here, we would simply be wasting our time trying to locate him." Nicholas's words made everybody shocked and silent.
An instant transmission scroll was the gift that Nicholas had given to Lyle, and it was an incredibly valuable one.
Different from the teleportation spell or scroll, which took time to be activated and needed a person to have visited the place they wish to go to, the instant transmission scroll teleported a person to a random location.

TheReign And yes, we have come to an end of the second volume, Lyle has found out that Nicholas is a vampire, he is now second-guessing everything that ever happened to him, and has finally gotten his full powers, I think it's quite a good chap to end the volume at.
The next volume, as many of you have probably guessed, will be darker, Lyle will be far less trusting of others and he won't have the same moral dilemmas or thoughts as before, which means I get to write some brutal stuff, can't wait!
