Chapter 146: The Storeroom and the Array

"Argh." A low groan was heard as Lyle's daggers penetrated through both the throat and chest of the caped man, killing him instantly as his heart was pierced and the windpipe was blocked by the dagger.

The man wasn't able to release any sound, and he didn't even fight back as Lyle's attack was merciless and decisive, killing him without offering any way for the man to survive or alarm anyone that could be nearby.

Upon killing the man, Lyle quickly stripped him off his clothes before stuffing his body inside a barrel and closing it. As he did that, Lyle suddenly stopped as he knew that sooner or later, the body would be discovered, and people will find out that someone had entered since there was only one body in each of the barrels, with blood being present inside as well.
