rosette looked as if she wanted to say more but she stayed quiet, she was a beautiful young woman desired by many and was the second daughter of a respectable duke she deserved more but looking down at herself she thought the state she was in now was truly embarrassing. She had been in love with the duke for a long time now and had even been his lover for three years straight in hopes of him loving her and one day asking for her hand in marriage, but all her dreams had been shattered by what he just told her.
