Chapter 102: The Way Out (2)

The group spent their last night on the floating island. They wanted to rest for a bit before continuing their journey.

Alan set up a fire where everyone gathered around.

- So, what is the plan?

- We must find our way out of here.

- You mean the source?

- Yeah. Fortunately, Achil mentioned something about it in his book. Aaron, what was it again?..... Aaron? Are you listening to us?

Aaron wasn't listening to his father and brother's conversation. He was staring at the fire, then unconsciously he reached his hand to touch it.

- AARON! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? YOU WILL GET BURNED!

Screamed Tarou while grabbing his hand.

Aaron went back to his senses. When he saw their worried looks. He laid down immediately and turned his back on them:

- Good night.

He was feeling so empty and weak and nothing could console him.

Alan sighed then he put off the fire:

- Let's sleep. We still have a long journey tomorrow...
