The Heroes

On the second floor of Oxwade Academy, Norman and Clarissa strolled down the faculty corridor, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors. Toward the end of the hallway, they came upon a spot that seemed slightly secluded from the rest of the bustling school environment.

"Is number one that special? I don't recall anything like this from my year," Norman remarked, a hint of annoyance in his tone.

With a firm knock on the door, Norman called out, "Hey, we're here!"

The door swung open, revealing Jenkins, a second-year student who had recently been seen frequently in the company of Percival.

"Miss Clarissa, you've arrived," Jenkins greeted.

As Clarissa locked eyes with Jenkins, she felt a flutter in her pulse, as if her mana stirred and swirled within her body.

Tugging on Norman's arm, Clarissa whispered, "H-he he's also the reincarnation of a hero," her voice barely above a murmur.
