Chapter 340: I witnessed your face

Returning to his room, Allen collapsed onto his bed, burying his face in his hands, muttering, 

"I need to earn more points pretty quick..." 

His mind drifted back to the haunting images of the friends he had inadvertently harmed and Felicia's tear-stained face. 

"Soon... I will rid myself of this affliction. I will definitely remove this thing from me."

Abruptly, a knock echoed on Allen's window, drawing his attention. When he looked out, there was the crow that had been following him.

Opening the window, he allowed the crow to enter of its own accord.

Concern crossed his face as he remarked, "I hope an animal isn't affected by this demonic mana." 

Then he noticed a small smear of blood on the crow's leg, 

"Blood? It's not yours, right?" 

Allen gently wiped it away with a cloth. "Come to think of it, you always return home at night. Where have you been?" he inquired.
