Yes, his voice messes with her big time but she could still reason things. She looked down at her chest and shook her head. 

Gloria slowly brought her hand to his chest and pasted her palm on his chest. "I don't want to do it," she said. 

Lucian didn't expect her to decline but now that she did, he wondered why. 

"If you want to touch me, please do but I'm not going to do that part. No," she shook her head continuously without lifting her head to face him. 

And then he remembered why she wouldn't do so. Lucian grabbed her immediately and pressed her head against his chest. "I'm sorry," he uttered.

It was warm being in his arms even though part of their bodies were inside the water. 

"I won't hurt you, I promise," he caressed her head. According to her diary, Calvin had tortured her sexually in a way she didn't like. She got herself involved in selling drugs in a club once as she was drunk so Calvin threatened her with that again.
