Chapter 30: Why Am I Blushing!?

Eithan applied the brakes and exited the car with Elysia. "You could have taken a day off. I mean, things are broken inside the house and it will take time to clean all that," he stated.

"Yeah, I know. But you see, I want to change it as soon as possible. The older things in the house are giving me a headache, so," Elysia reasoned with him.

"I understand," Eithan gave her a side hug, "let's begin the work then."

They went inside the beach house and found out the broken things were already replaced. Trustin did his work well and Eithan couldn't be less proud of his brother.

Elysia had already decided on the furniture in the house. Since Trustin bought it back from her, so she felt somehow this was a new connection of her relationship with her husband. She called the furniture showroom and asked them how long they would take to be there.

Eithan, on the other hand, went to the living room to find the traces of the scent of the werewolves. But he couldn't recognize anything. However, about one thing he was sure. Those who attacked them didn't belong to any pack, but they were rogue.

He remembered Trustin telling him it could be an enemy pack, but Eithan knew no pack would dare to attack them.

"Eithan, what are you doing here?" Elysia asked as she walked toward the sofa.

"You never told me that you were a werewolf. It was kind of shocking," she complained.

Eithan sat next to him and apologized to her. "I wasn't supposed to tell anyone, especially humans. It's a pack rule," he pronounced. "It must be shocking for you."

"Yeah. I thought Trustin was lying to me. But the moment he threw a hard punch at those unknown attackers, I felt he was quite different. He said he was the alpha of your pack and I'm his Luna. Later, I searched about it on the internet, and found out a lot of things," Elysia blurted out things, which were in her mind.

"We are like humans, except for some supernatural abilities. Also, like humans have hormones, we have pheromones, which make us more vulnerable around our mates. In terms of senses, humans can't beat us. But it is like a curse too. Transforming into a werewolf isn't an easy job. It is painful. You lose your mind when transformation occurs, and may even kill the person in front of you if it's not handled well," Eithan elaborated to her.

Elysia was shocked to learn that. Indeed, she had read about all these things on the internet, but listening through Eithan, she felt that it was more painful than she could even imagine.

"Tell me more, Eithan," she requested as she was curious to know about werewolves.

"Did you not ask Trustin?" he queried.

"I did. But it felt like he was keeping a lot of things from me. Perhaps I'm a human, that's why," she murmured.

"No. He must have thought you would be worried to know all these things. Being a werewolf isn't easy. And he wanted to tell you gradually," Eithan proclaimed.

"Hmm. You are right. He does care for me," Elysia said with a smile. The two friends continued their conversation, where Eithan opened new layers about werewolves to her friend.

Trustin lowered his hand as the call ended. Aaron, his assistant asked him if everything was good.

"Those who attacked Elysia were found dead in a forest," Trustin said.

"The enemy must not want you to chase him," Aaron affirmed.

"Yeah and he won't even budge to take the lives," he remarked. "I need to find out who was behind this ASAP." Trustin was concerned for Elysia's safety because his enemies were targeting her.

"Alpha, I don't think the person will send anyone behind Elysia. Because his first attempt was not successful, the foe will take time to plan anything. I will talk with the warriors in the evening and try to find out from where those attackers came," Aaron assured Trustin. As his beta, his duty was to protect both the alpha and luna along.

"Alright. Call me if you find anything related to that," Trustin said and sat on the swivel chair. His phone beeped, so he checked it.

'Which color will be better?- Maroon or Blue?' Trustin read a message from Elysia.

'Anything you like.' He typed and sent it.

Aaron took his leave and closed the office door behind him.

An angry emote came from the other side, which made Trustin smile.

'You are such a confusing man. Can't you even help me decide?' Elysia's message showed that she was fuming in anger.

Trustin called her and Elysia answered it in the first ring.

"What happened? You are the interior designer, so you must decide," Trustin said.

"It is our house, so I want to keep your choice in the mind too," Elysia replied.

"Umm... What do you think will be the best color?" Trustin asked her.

"I feel royal blue is good," Elysia answered.

"Then, go for the royal blue. I love that color," he opined.

"Okay. There are a few things in which you've to help me," Elysia muttered.

"Anything for you. Just command me what to do and I'll do it," Trustin stated. He could sense the shy smile of Elysia even though they were on a call.

"Don't you have work today? You usually are busy," Elysia remarked.

"I'm free at the moment. Why? Are you missing me already?" Trustin asked with an amused smile.

"No. Why would I miss you?" Elysia chuckled.

"Well, I miss you. Your intoxicating scent lingers on my nose all the time," Trustin huskily said.

Instantly, her heartbeats shot high. Earlier, after talking with Eithan, she realized how much tough it was for Trustin to keep himself in the control.

"I've work to do. I'll see you in the evening," Elysia said.

"Sure," Trustin hung up the call.

Elysia smiled a little as she felt her cheeks heating up. "Why am I blushing?" She mumbled.
