Chapter 7: Chapter 3.5: The Nightmare Trove

-Second Floor-

Looking at the ants and roaches in front of me, as I stretched my body to get ready to kill these bastards. It had been a while since I last felt my body this pumped up, and the prospect of getting rid of lesser beings was all I needed to use up that energy. Luckily for me, they can't get me dirty with their disgusting bodily fluids, due to my <Contaminant Immunity>, which doesn't let me get dirty.

Going down from a high area I stood as I observed my enemies, the 11 roaches and 24 ants below couldn't even react before I was already down next to one of the roaches, which I cleaved with my bare hand as its head fell off its body. In my current state and conspiring how much my energy pool Increased, it wouldn't be a problem for me to just use <Erase> on all these enemies and watch them fade out of existence, but I love using my body to demolish my adversaries! Yes, long-ranged attacks are very useful and maybe even better depending on the situation, even still nothing makes me feel as alive, as beating the crap out of another creature.

Having that in mind, I rushed at the next roach and smashed its head against the ground, completely squashing it. Following that one of them actually tried to charge me, only to get its head kicked off clean, as I lifted my leg up to the limit in this kick, looking like a ballerina or maybe a gymnast due to the level of flexibility.

Not wasting too much time, I backflipped and trampled on the next roach coming after me, marking four roaches down. That didn't stop the next two from trying to attack me, though I stopped them both by the head, and smashed them with my hands. At this point, the ants were already close enough, and four of them came at me without any fear, to use their mandibles to bite me.

Unbothered by them, I let them try as they bite onto my four members with no success whatsoever in damaging me, as the effect of <Invulnerability(Level 2/6)> is always in effect, and they definitely aren't 30 levels above me. Overwhelming them with my own strength, I grab the heads of the two ants biting onto my arms and rip them off. Then use those heads as weapons and stab the mandibles into the other two ants' heads.

The last five roaches in here, come at me, and garbing two of them by the head, I turned them over and used them to smash another one, before squashing their heads. Not stopping there as I put my hands up to stop, the last two from charging at me with my hands, then activate <Intangibility> for a bit and then deactivate it once my hands are inside their heads causing them to explode.

{Master! You've reached level 7!} Leah told me.

{Honestly! It's a pity that rank I beings are too weak to give you evil points just by killing them. Though it should be possible to win a few if you humiliate the bosses, as they are intelligent enough.} Leah who was flying around observing, commented.

(It's still a long way before I reach the fifth floor... Then again I could definitely speed up the process.) I responded with my thoughts.

As I advanced toward the remaining 20 ants, a smile appeared on my face at the thought of breaking the bosses. Another massacre occurred as to be expected and I continued to move toward a new area and look around every corner, killing anything that came my way, which was only another 5, until I eventually reached the teleportation pad at the end of the second floor, and entered the 3rd floor.

-3rd Floor-

Unlike the floor before it, the 3rd floor was no longer a cave system and it was instead a forest environment, though the only life present in it were giant roaches, ants, and the floor addition, giant flies.

Just like on the floors before this one, I was killing everything in my way without any difficulty whatsoever. Though the flies change things up a bit, as not only did they spit acid, but also had a troublesome level of speed, combined with the fact they fly, it forced me to start using my <Erase> on them to avoid wasting time.

Surrounded by ants once again, I had already killed 55 Roaches, 5 ants, and 3 flies by now. My level had risen to 8 by this point. Around me, there were 135 ants as they had started to appear in high numbers on this floor. The extermination ensued and I killed every single one of them.

{Level 9! Keep it up, Master!} Leah cheered.

Moving on from that I explored the area and meet with 2 more flies, while I was doing so. Immediately, I used <Erase> twice, and a transparent sphere of void energy covered both before they filled up with a dark blue, and compressed themselves into nothing, leaving no traces of both flies.

Following that, I continued to encounter 10 more flies, before I was done with this floor and moved to the 4th floor.

-4th Floor-

At this point, despite not getting hit unless I allow it, my clothes were pretty tattered and dirty, though my skin or hair won't fall to the same fate due to <Contaminant Immunity>, it was still an inconvenience to move around with disgusting-smelling clothes with quite a few holes.

Unfortunately, I forgot to bring more clothes, so, I will have to bear with it until it was over.

The situation on the fourth floor was similar to the one on the third floor, as the same forest-type environment could be found, with the biggest change aside from the layout, being the presence of larvae, with their sticky body and spit, acting almost like a spider's web.

While I was moving around, a group of 3 roaches and 5 ants, two normal ones and three flying ones came to attack me, together with 3 flies who were behind the flying ants, using them as cover, so that they could shoot their acid at me from a safe place.

Faced with this, I began using the roaches and ants as body shields while smashing their head. It was all going fine when I was hit with larvae-sticky silk. This happened for two reasons, one, larvas are extremely weak and thus have a low presence that can blend in with the vegetation easily, and two, if we add in their natural camouflage, which made them very hard to find unless you are actively looking for them. Being hit by a larva at least once was expected, and part of the reason this dungeon was considered hard as well as mostly avoided.

Not really worried, I simply phase through it using <Intangibility>, since fighting against it physically was unlikely to yield good results. Once I was freed, and now paying attention to the larvae, I used <Erase> six times to get rid of the flies and flying ants. Right after, I used my bare hands to sever the heads of all the ants and roaches around me, from their bodies, before using the body of one to defend myself from the sticky silk, then using it to track the larvae and stepping on its head, and smashing it to a pulp.

{Master! You're level 10 now! You just hit your first Reality Balance System ability milestone! You can develop one ability resolving around your affinities and skillset. Do remember though, that you are still not that high in level, so the ability won't be all-powerful no matter what effect you try to give it.} Leah informed.

Knowing that I would get the opportunity to do this again in the future and that my evil system has a shop function, I was not too worried about this decision and instead just went for another void-based move as it is the most compatible element with me at the moment, and since <Erase> is a bit limited with how it works, I wanted an attack move that was something more versatile to use with my body.

{Done! Master, you've successfully made your new ability <Destruction>.} Leah announced.

[Destruction: Using void energy as a basis, the user can access destruction energy, using your body to channel it and create an attack that causes normally irreversible damage to those lower level than you, and if enough energy is used permanently destroys them. The destruction energy used while this ability is active can be molded however the user wishes so long as they have high energy mastery.]

Being done reading the description, I immediately use it to cover my arm in destruction energy, then move closer to one of the nearby trees and touch it lightly. This instantly causes the tree to break apart, and the trunk that was still connected to the ground slowly, but surely had its top half rot right in front of me as the part that fell to the ground was experiencing the same fate.

(It seems good enough, I guess this should do. Now just have to finish this floor, and then it's boss hunting.) I thought to myself as I got prepared to continue.
