Her eyes heightened and the bedsheet fell off her as her eyes met the man standing right before her.

Ethan?

"E...than..." Hazel called, staring at him with utmost shock. She wasn't expecting him to be here. Not just when she was about to die of pure shame.

Ethan looked at her for a moment and then his gaze fell to the ground at the bedsheet. The bedsheet in which Hazel folded, keeping the soaked part hidden was revealed.

His heart thumped in and out roughly as his eyes settled on the bloodied sheet. Reacting like he cared less, he bent down and handed it over to her. "Are you okay?" He asked, though his voice had no sympathy, Hazel could tell that his eyes were miraculously different from the ones she was used to seeing.
