The moon started to shine as the sun dimmed.
No one paid any attention to it as it is the normal thing to happen as the day end and night begins but what they missed is that the moon is shining with something extra tonight.
They failed to see, something that is different from the moon they see every day.
'Huh, my stamina seems full...wait it's full moon today, I totally forgot about it.'
'Damn my stupidity. I got lucky for now, I need to plan all things carefully in the future, or else this predicament would definitely repeat itself in the future.'
'Now I can fight again but I don't think I'll last all night though.'
Alex looked up at the moon and raised his saber towards the moon as a salute. After all, tonight's moon is his biggest ally.
'Huh, it feels different. No, I must be tired. I think I am hallucinating, how can the moon be red?'
'If that is true, everyone would have observed it.'
'I hope this battle ends soon.'
Unknown to Alex, when he raised his saber, a power flew across the battlefield. There was a notification from the system, which Alex muted for the purpose of battle.
Unlike most notifications, this isn't a simple one. This was a monumental one.
Alex failed to see what just happened, but not the ones who experienced something new. As Alex failed to see the power, others couldn't find the source of the new power.
Unless Alex himself exposes himself, no one would think it was because of him.

"What was that just now?" the second grey-robed one asked.
"I have no idea," replied the third one.
"I felt weak all of sudden. Though it isn't much I felt that," said the second one.
"How? No one should know that we are here," wondered the third one.
"Hmm, probably an area debuff spell and we are inside the area of effect," answered the second one, unsure of his answer.
"That is possible and I hope that is the reason. If someone found us, our future plans would be in trouble," said the first one, who was in deep thought about what exactly happened just now.

"Did you feel that just now?" one of the adventurers asked.
"Yeah, I did. Abe is that you?" the soldier beside him asked an old-aged man.
"No, I don't have such massive buff skill. Even if I had, I don't have any more Mana to cast it," replied Abe.
Abe is the most powerful healer in Therin town. He owns the alchemy potions shop, from which Alex bought his potions.
Though Abe is a 3-star power, his battle power is low. He was considered a scholar than a fighter. He is also an important asset to the town.
There are many who he saved with his healing abilities and potions. He earned the respect of the people of Therin and add to that he was one of the old comrades of the baron.
"If not you, who has such power?" asked one of the soldiers bewildered.
The power they felt is not something small. Though it only affected them like a small increase in healing, strength, stamina, or agility, it can't be considered small if you considered the area it affected.
This is by no means a small-level skill. The amount of mana or aura required to pull off such a thing would be massive.
There are only a few 3-star powerhouses in the town and only one that specializes in healing. When that happened, they could find the source, so most of them guessed it must be done by Abe.
They were awed by the display of such a powerful spell, but Abe knew that he wasn't the one who did that.
Far away the main source was battling for his life.

'Damned is my life.'
'I lost count of how many I killed. They keep attacking me. One dies, another takes its place, looks like a long queue for me to clear.'
'The rewards better be worth it for all the trouble I am going through.'
'Even with the Moon's Blessing, I don't know how long I can stand.'
'Oh, it looks like they are fairing on the other side. I just need to stand until they come to my aid.'
Alex kept fighting and killing the beasts but they didn't back down no matter how many they killed. After all, they are under the orders to kill him. It's kill or be killed for them now.
Alex kept dodging and slashing the beasts. He knows he was being targeted for some unknown reason. Whatever the reason is, if he falters now, he would be dead.
He was saving stamina by using his surroundings.
If he gets surrounded by more than one beast, he just times it right, so the attacks of one beast would land on another. This gives him an opportunity to strike down one.
Though this not always happens, it still reduced the energy consumed.
Alex kept fighting back against them for a few more hours.
He was already out of potions and even the Moon's blessing started to dissipate. Though the blessing was considered something godly, it won't always be there to help. It did its part for now.
His body ached to fight for hours. Wounds are bleeding covering his body from head to toe.
One of the beasts almost took his eye and if not for the blessing, it would have and he would have been remembered in history as the One-eyed Emperor.
Most of them are dead. Bodies were piled up around him dyeing the ground red.
He was too tired to even stand. Without the support of his saber, he would have fallen down. he felt dizzy and wanted to lie down.
With his last bit of strength, he looked to the sky.
'Am I hallucinating?'
'Why is the moon look red?'
Even before he could come up with some theories, his eyelids drooped and he fell to the ground.
