Chapter 55: 55 – Outside the Mayor’s Residence

<Silkdale city, the mayor's residence.>

Anne, the mayor's wife, looked into her husband's workroom. She found Charlia – wearing a black and white maid uniform – already serving a cup of tea.

"Don't you want to sleep, honey?" Anne gulped. "It's too late."

"Soon, Anne." Karl, the mayor, answered. "I still have a lot of letters to read."

"I take my leave, sir." Charlia bowed to the mayor.

"Sure," Karl answered without looking at the woman. "Thank you."

Charlia nodded to Anne. The mayor's wife only gave a faint smile as the succubus exited the room.

Anne still didn't know the relationship between Charlia and Karl. The mayor's wife only knew that the succubus was the new maid her husband had hired.

Charlia feels that she has done her role very well. She can give good service, whatever it is. In addition, she also never made eye contact with Karl when they were not alone.
