When he went inside the first time to inform Gideon that someone was looking for him, the shaman was with the king. The moment he mentioned the name of the person, it was Veron who said to let her in, not even Gideon. That alone made him know that she was no ordinary person and he instantly regretted looking down on her.

He suspected Marcus could end up in trouble for his careless comments, but could only pray the lady didn't take them to heart. His prayer, however, was not answered.
