Veron approached Karina, and even when he was standing right beside her, she didn't notice his presence. It was as if she was lost in thoughts.

Standing before the giant red wolf water fountain, she fixed her unmoving gaze on the stone creature, looking at it with deep concentration and interest.

She was again in her oversized clothes, but this time, she wore a collarless blue shirt which looked great on her despite the fact that it wasn't fitted to her body.

He wondered what she was thinking, and it surprised him that she could stare into the eyes of the creature so intensely without a fear. That's probably because she knew it wasn't alive and wouldn't hurt her.

"Ahem..." He cleared his throat, snapping her out of her thoughts.

She turned to look at him, then almost immediately looked away as she took a step back.

"Let's go." He took the initiative to walk to the car, knowing she would follow — and she did.
