The morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting warm rays of light that danced across the room, illuminating every corner with a golden glow. Alicia rose from her seat, the soft padding of her footsteps echoing against the polished wooden floor as she made her way towards the door.

As she reached the door, turning the handle and pulling it open, her eyes met Christon's, his charming smile lighting up his features as he stood waiting with a bag in his hand. 

"Hey there, princess. Good morning!" he greeted, his voice filled with genuine warmth and affection. The sound of his voice was like music to her ears, soothing her frazzled nerves and bringing a smile to her lips.

"Good morning to you too," Alicia replied, her own smile widening at the sight of him.
