Chapter 302: In The Rain Together

Unlike the commander,  Henry didn't have as quite of a grasp on the weather. Callum had a decade's worth of experience more than Henry - the young knight couldn't be good at everything from the beginning. 

"We've got to go," Henry said urgently.

The slow moment they were enjoying evaporated in an instant and Henry stood up, offering his hand to the princess. She gratefully took it and stood up.

Henry had taken off his belt as they got comfortable and he quickly tucked back in his cream-colored tunic into his brown leather pants. The belt was put back on his pants and his sword was secured at his side. 

He cleaned up the rest of the food on the ground and put one cloak over the princess's shoulders and the other on his.

Melan came closer when he sensed Henry's urgency. 

The knight climbed onto his horse first and quickly pulled the princess on after him, knowing she would sit on his lap so it wouldn't make sense for her to go first.
